Schneider Electric’s EOEM Sales Development Program (SDP) is a structured, immersive 12‑month experience based in Nashville, TN, designed to accelerate your growth and prepare you for a successful career within our Power Distribution Sales team.

Program Overview

Our Sales Development Program equips you with the technical knowledge, professional skills, and real world experience required to thrive in solution‑based technical sales roles focusing on EOEM customers across the country. Over 12 months, you’ll progress through two distinct phases that combine classroom learning, hands‑on practice, and guided sales experience.

Phase 1: Foundations (Months 1–3)

Classroom Style Learning | Nashville, TN

Your journey begins with three months of comprehensive, instructor‑led training that builds your confidence from the ground up.

You’ll learn:

  • Electrical Fundamentals – What electricity is, how it works, and how our products connect to real world applications.
  • Product Training – In‑depth understanding of our Square D portfolio, including electrical distribution and industrial control solutions.
  • Professional Skills – How to communicate effectively, write impactful emails, manage your time, and stay organized.
  • Market Overview – The Electrical Market and our Customers, our Distribution Partners, and Understanding customer needs.
  • Sales Techniques – Core selling skills, customer engagement strategies, and consultative selling approaches.

Phase 1 gives you the complete toolkit you need - whether you’re coming from a technical major or learning these concepts for the first time.

Phase 2: Inside Sales Experience with the EOEM Team (Months 4–12)

Hands On Training in a Learning Environment | Nashville, TN

After building a solid foundation, you’ll step into a hands‑on inside sales role supporting our EOEM sector. This is designed to let you apply what you learned in Phase 1 while being supported and mentored by seasoned sales professionals.

You will:

  • Help support Schneider Electric EOEM customer sales for both Direct and Channel led Customer base.
  • Learn to sell components such as Circuit Breakers, Cradles, OEM Structures, Semi‑Assembled equipment, Safety Switches and Motor Control products to Acquisition Accounts.
  • Help your sales team develop an EOEM sales plan at select accounts.
  • Onboard and train customers and channel partners on our digital tools.
  • Utilize CRM tool (SalesForce) for customer interactions and opportunity management.
  • Leverage EOEM marketing programs to drive demand.
  • Help direct support Inside Sales Rep activities.

Program Completion & Career Path

After 12 months, you’ll be fully prepared to step into a role within our Power Distribution Sales team at Schneider Electric. Graduates of the program interview for sales roles across the United States, and we seek candidates who are open to relocation to pursue these opportunities.
