As part of its launch, SUMMIT Paris is looking for a Cybersecurity Engineer to join its team.

Key Responsibilities

• Responsible for maintaining, administering, and operating cybersecurity and network systems for Summit Paris.
• Support day-to-day operations of the Information Security efforts within IT department, including monitoring organization’s networks for security breaches and investigating incidents, implementing security policies and administering cybersecurity infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity issues across local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), wireless networks, and cloud-connected environments.
• Follow Information Security threats, identify risks to company products and services, and work closely with business stakeholders and IT to mitigate these risks.
• Support efforts in fraud prevention and detection with concentration on cybersecurity issues affecting company’s products and services.
• Maintain subject matter expert level of knowledge, follow latest information security trends, research and recommend appropriate security controls.
• Support security awareness program by providing consultations, training, and on-going communication to company employees.
• Participate in IT department’s projects and initiatives by providing subject matter expertise on cybersecurity related issues.
• Perform network change management activities, including planning, testing, implementation, and validation of infrastructure changes.
• Maintain and enhance documentation of information security team’s standard operating procedures and protocols.
• Engage in problem solving, process improvement and strategic planning initiatives.

Requirements

Required Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience;
• 5+ years of IT experience, including at least 2+ years in cyber or information security;
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VPNs, network segmentation and security best practices;
• Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, SD-WAN and inter-VLAN routing;
• Direct experience with anti-virus software, intrusion detection systems, firewalls, and content filtering;
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards, fiber optic infrastructure, and network rack deployments;
• Knowledge of risk and vulnerability assessment tools, technologies, and methods;
• Ability to analyze packet captures and network traffic using third-party troubleshooting tools;
• Experience in incident response and knowledge of computer forensics tools and techniques;
• Ability to develop and maintain network diagrams, technical documentation, standards, and operational procedures;
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• Experience with enterprise wireless technologies, including Wi-Fi design, deployment, troubleshooting, and RF optimization;
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Education and Experience

• One or more industry-recognized certifications: CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CISSP, SANS GIAC Security Essentials, Cisco CCNA/CCNP;
• Previous experience in system administration, supporting multiple platforms and applications;
• Previous experience with virtualization and cloud technologies;
• Previous experience in the Real Estate, Construction, or Manufacturing sectors.

Communication Skills

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate actions, work with business stakeholders, and gain their trust to achieve desired objectives;
• Ability to communicate information security issues to peers and management;
• Ability to work with minimal direction and supervision;
• Excellent interpersonal, time management, and organizational skills;
• Fluency in English and French is required.
