Job Description:

SIOP and planning leadership

  • Own and facilitate the monthly Closures EMEA SIOP cycle (demand review, pre-SIOP supply and capacity review, SIOP meeting) for Amsterdam, Lindweiler, Rouen and Bottanuco Accessories, including calendar, data preparation, decisions log, action follow-up and the monthly SIOP summary to leadership.

  • Connect Closures SIOP to the EMEA Executive IBP forum, escalating capacity, supply and inventory risks with clear options and recommendations.

  • Own the supply plan and capacity assumptions for the Closures network, including constraint management on critical assets, make-or-buy and inter-plant sourcing.

  • Partner with Demand Planning and Sales on forecast quality, significant trend changes and new business onboarding.

Global network and supply risk

  • Evaluate the global Closures network (plants, inter-company flows, traded items and external suppliers) to rationalize supply flows, reduce cost to serve and shorten end-to-end lead times.

  • Build fact-based network scenarios (make vs buy, plant-to-plant allocation, regional vs global supply, duty and freight impact) and present recommendations to Closures SBU leadership and Executive IBP.

  • Identify single-source and high-risk materials and components, and drive alternate source initiatives with Category Sourcing, Quality and Operations, from supplier screening through qualification and supply ramp-up.

  • Maintain a Closures supply risk register with mitigation plans, safety stock or buffer positions, and trigger points for escalation.

  • Work with Closures planning counterparts in other regions to align network decisions and share capacity and supply options.

Inventory, materials and performance

  • Own Closures planning KPIs: service and on-time delivery, stockouts, inventory (DIO, days of supply), SLOB and Operating Working Capital, with monthly performance commentary and corrective actions.

  • Govern DDMRP buffer parameters, stocking strategy and lead-time settings across the network; lead SLOB reviews and disposal, re-use or take-back decisions with Sales, Operations and Finance.

  • Coordinate with Sourcing on direct material supply continuity (resins, steel and tinplate, wads, washers, components), supplier performance and shortage resolution.

  • Support fiscal year-end inventory counts, working capital timing and audit requirements.

People and capability

  • Lead, coach and develop the Closures planning team; set objectives, run one-to-ones and annual reviews, and build planning backup and succession.

Process, systems and continuous improvement

  • Drive standard planning processes, SIOP templates and KPI definitions across Closures sites, in line with the EMEA planning standards.

  • Act as planning lead for ERP and DDMRP changes affecting Closures.

  • Own planning master data quality (lead times, MOQs, order multiples) for Closures materials.

  • Sponsor automation and AI-enabled planning use cases with the Planning Excellence Lead.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering or Business; Master’s or APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP) or DDMRP certification (CDDP) preferred.

  • At least 7 years of supply chain planning experience in a manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years leading planners or planning processes.

  • Proven experience running or facilitating S&OP/SIOP and managing inventory and working capital targets in a multi-plant network.
