Position Information
The Image Analysis Hub at Pasteur Institute is seeking for a bioimage analyst to support the services and projects of the core facility, from early 2027.
The engineers of the IAH collaborate with users of the campus and beyond, helping them on their projects with bioimage analysis. The projects range from the development of a custom analysis pipeline, of a special analysis tool, to a full collaboration where you will perform the analysis from start to end and deliver scientific results.
Main missions
- Provide support and training in image analysis to IAH users
- Develop and deploy customized image analysis tools for scientific projects on campus
- Maintain and optimize infrastructure to enable biological image analysis for IAH users
- Contribute to innovative tool development for advanced image analysis
Candidate profile
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- PhD in bioinformatics, (bio)physics, applied mathematics or any other related domain
- Strong expertise in Deep Learning tools for image analysis
- Proficiency in biological image analysis techniques and software
- Programming skills in Python or Java (or similar languages)
Soft skills
- Teamwork and collaboration, ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to supporting research projects
- The will and taste to engage with users and assist in their scientific work
Extra Qualifications
- Experience working in a core facility
- Experience in biology and imaging
- Fluency in English (required for an international work environment)
- Experience with Large Language Models (LLMs) for scientific applications
