Our customer is one of the World's Biggest Luxury Retailers who's HQ is in central Paris. They are under-going a large scale digital transformation and looking for the skills of an experienced Project Manager to support them in their AD Hardening.
The AD Project Manager will oversee the planning, implementation, and management of a project to enhance the security and robustness of the company’s Active Directory (AD) infrastructure. The successful candidate will possess deep knowledge of Active Directory, cybersecurity best practices, and project management principles. They will work closely with IT teams, security specialists, and other stakeholders to ensure the project's success.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Management:
- Develop and manage a comprehensive project plan for AD hardening, outlining tasks, milestones, resources, and timelines.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to gather requirements and define project scope.
- Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure timely and successful project completion.
Technical Oversight:
- Conduct a thorough assessment of the current AD environment to identify vulnerabilities and areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement strategies for AD security enhancements, including the configuration of policies, permissions, and roles.
- Ensure adherence to security best practices, industry standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the project.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to the project’s success and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and update the project plan accordingly.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the AD hardening project, facilitating clear and effective communication among all stakeholders.
- Prepare and present regular status reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Organize and lead project meetings, ensuring all parties are informed and aligned with project objectives.
Documentation and Training:
- Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical configurations, policies, and procedures.
- Provide training and support to IT staff and end-users on new AD configurations and security practices.
- Ensure knowledge transfer and sustainable practices are embedded within the IT team for ongoing AD management.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT project management, with a focus on cybersecurity and Active Directory.
- Proven experience in managing complex IT security projects, preferably in a medium to large enterprise environment.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory architecture, including domain controllers, forests, trusts, group policies, and LDAP.
- Familiarity with AD security best practices, including least privilege principles, multi-factor authentication, and auditing.
- Experience with AD hardening tools and techniques, such as Microsoft’s AD security baselines and third-party security solutions.
Certifications: Relevant certifications such as PMP, CISSP, CISM, Microsoft Certified: Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or similar are highly desirable.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
