Job SummaryThe Operations Head - DMC will lead the strategic development and promotion of our destinations, enhancing visitor experiences and driving sustainable tourism. This role is essential in fostering relationships with local stakeholders, optimizing resources, and ensuring the destination’s growth and sustainability.Key Responsibilities:Strategic Leadership:- Develop and implement a comprehensive destination management strategy that aligns with organizational goals and promotes sustainable tourism practices.Stakeholder Engagement:- Build and maintain strong relationships with local governments, tourism boards, businesses, and community organizations to foster collaboration.Marketing and Promotion:- Oversee the development of marketing campaigns to promote the destination, targeting specific demographics and markets.Visitor Experience Enhancement:- Identify opportunities to improve the visitor experience through product development, services, and infrastructure enhancements.Data Analysis and Reporting:- Monitor tourism trends, visitor statistics, and feedback to inform strategy and decision-making.Sustainability Initiatives:- Promote environmentally responsible practices and initiatives that support the long-term sustainability of the destination.Qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s preferred.- 7+ years of experience in destination management, tourism, or hospitality, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.- Proven experience in stakeholder engagement and collaborative project management.- Strong understanding of tourism marketing, branding, and economic development.Skills:Leadership and Communication:- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and stakeholders.Analytical Skills:- Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends and visitor data for strategic planning.Project Management:- Experience managing multiple projects, budgets, and timelines effectively.Cultural Sensitivity:- Understanding of diverse cultures and the ability to promote inclusivity in destination experiences.
