GTS Space are recruiting for a key role in a fast-moving space-services company that supports satellite operators through the full life-cycle of launch campaigns—from initial capability studies through to lift-off and mission completion. As Launch Mission Manager you will lead and own end-to-end launch mission delivery, interfacing with clients, launch-vehicle providers, internal teams and external partners. You will be responsible for ensuring that each mission is delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest technical, regulatory and commercial standards.What you’ll be doingLead the launch campaign from early mission definition, through technical and programmatic analyses, to integration, launch-pad operations and mission execution.Interface directly with satellite-operators (customers) and with launch-vehicle/OTV (orbital transfer vehicle) providers to deliver contractually agreed services.Coordinate and document mission-integration analyses, requirement verification, technical interface checks, fit-checks, dispenser installation, payload/launch-vehicle integration.Manage regulatory, licensing and export-control processes (e.g., launch permits, RF-frequency registration, insurance and de-orbit compliance).Monitor, track and report on mission milestones (technical, programme, commercial) and support risk mitigation and change-control.Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and collaborative agreements (mechanical systems, AIT, logistics) ensuring alignment with mission goals.Contribute to proposal development, support business-development by providing technical insight into future launch-campaign offerings, and liaise with product/digital teams to refine mission-management tools.Support continuous improvement of processes, tools and operational excellence within the mission-management function.What we’re looking forA degree (or higher) in engineering, aerospace, systems or related technical discipline.Proven experience (typically 3-5 yrs or more) in technical project management within the space/launch-services sector (launch vehicles, satellite operators or mission-integration).Strong understanding of payload-to-launch-vehicle interfacing, mission planning and launch-campaign logistics.Experience of working with mechanical/structural systems, fit-checks, integration and ground operations in a launch or aerospace environment.Excellent coordination and stakeholder-management skills: able to deal with clients, suppliers, internal cross-functional teams and external partners.Strong documentation, requirement-verification and risk-management competence.Good commercial awareness: able to oversee contractual deliverables, work with business development teams and track mission-costs.Comfortable working in a fast-paced, start-up style environment with autonomy and accountability.Fluent in English.
