**Exclusive role** Location: London (with occasional international travel)We are supporting a global financial assessment organisation in the search for a Credit Assessment Specialist French speaker to join its London-based analytical team. Working within a diverse group of around 20 professionals, you will collaborate closely with international offices across the US, Europe and Asia. The London team oversees assessments across (re)insurance markets spanning the UK, wider Europe, Bermuda, the Middle East, Africa and Central Asia.The RoleIn this position, you will evaluate the financial strength of a portfolio of (re)insurers, producing high-quality credit opinions and supporting documentation. You will be guided by an analytical team leader, carrying out in-depth financial analysis, preparing robust written reports and presenting your conclusions at internal decision forums.You will frequently meet senior leadership teams from (re)insurers, gather strategic insights, and monitor emerging trends within the market. The role also offers opportunities to contribute to thought-leadership pieces, industry seminars and external research on sector developments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead timely and rigorous credit assessments on a portfolio of (re)insurers, producing clear and accurate analytical conclusions.Attend meetings with company executives to gather relevant information and challenge assumptions shaping the credit view.Conduct ongoing monitoring of assigned entities, identifying market trends that may influence financial strength.Present analysis to internal committees and participate in wider discussions on market dynamics and credit factors.Support external presentations, commentary and specialist research on industry shifts and developments.Build strong market relationships with insurers, brokers and other sector stakeholders.Undertake occasional international travel.Skills & ExperienceStrong understanding of the insurance market and solid grounding in finance and accounting.Experience in financial analysis, ideally gained within insurance, financial services, or a consultancy/ audit/ M&A environment.Exposure to actuarial topics or IFRS 17 is advantageous.LanguagesFluency in French (written and spoken) is essential.Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are also essential.Salary up to £75K - Visa can be sponsored for the right experienced candidates
