About The Role

About this opportunity


Professional responsible for cost management service delivery for real estate projects – from early cost advice to the settlement of the final account.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supporting Business Unit Directors in delivering business objectives.
  • Delivering high-quality services and ensuring that cost management deliverables meet Customers’ requirements.
  • Preparing and presenting order of cost estimates and option studies.
  • Cost planning.
  • Cost-in-use studies - study of the cost of building maintenance.
  • Advising on and implementing procurement strategies.
  • Preparing tender documentation and bids for services.
  • Evaluating and reporting on tenders.
  • Valuing completed work and arranging for payments.
  • Settling final accounts.
  • Administrating contracts as Contract Administrator or Employer’s Agent.
  • Producing and presenting reports to Customers.
  • Managing service delivery for profit.
  • Advising Directors promptly of any issues that have arisen, or that might arise, on projects; in particular those that might impact Gleeds professional indemnity (PI) insurance

About The Candidate

Who we’re looking for:

Experience, Knowledge and Key Skills

  • Cost management experience in major construction projects covering pre-contract and construction / post-contract cost management tasks in France.
  • 3+ years of professional experience in the building construction industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of French construction regulation.
  • Practical knowledge of construction procurement strategies, including tendering and contract strategies.
  • Knowledge of contractual forms of engineering missions, project management assistance, project management and in particular the MOP law and the NFP 03.001.
  • Understanding of legislation impacting building contracts.
  • Clear and effective communication skills - both oral and written.
  • Methodical way of thinking and approach to work.
  • Organisational skills and the ability to quickly adapt to changing environments.
  • Excellent problem, negotiating, finance and numeracy management skills.
  • Sound ICT skills, with a good level of proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in French and English.


Qualifications

  • Bac+2 to Bac+5, engineering school or equivalent
  • Diploma in the field of Construction Economics
