Position: Field Service Engineer
Travel: Regularly, including international trips
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to manage and maintain instruments in your territory, ensure their optimal performance, and troubleshoot any issues. This role involves collaboration with other engineers, sales teams, and clients to deliver top-notch service and support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and maintain instruments in your designated area.
- Troubleshoot, install, and repair equipment.
- Assist out-of-territory engineers as needed.
- Provide detailed feedback on device performance and reliability.
- Maintain and calibrate testing tools and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.
- Support sales teams in identifying prospects and offering technical assistance.
- Build strong relationships with customers, offering advice and action plans.
- Fulfill customer training obligations during installations.
- Resolve hardware and software issues promptly.
- Install software, hardware, and conduct performance analyses.
- Manage and document service activities and problem resolutions.
- Negotiate solutions with users at various levels.
Requirements:
- Associate degree in electronics or electronic engineering.
- Around 5 years’ experience in a relevant field.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
- Strong interpersonal skills and personal motivation.
- Valid driving license.
- Experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electromechanical, and electronic equipment.
- Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and creativity skills.
- Previous experience in a scientific environment is a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven success in a similar customer service role.
- Experience in commercial, scientific, or engineering settings.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Capacity to work effectively under pressure.
