POSITION OVERVIEW

The Application Support Engineer:

  • Work with the project and R&D teams to define the support processes for the different applications in production.
  • Will be responsible for the deployment, support and maintenance of applications in the HSE portfolio in Production.
  • Collaborate with our architects to identify and deploy internal solutions, mainly open source, to support HSE R&D teams (Code Quality Tools, Identity Server, etc.)
  • The position requires the ability to demonstrate in-depth knowledge of IT environments (Windows, Linux, routers, firewalls) as well as technical and operational skills to provide the best level of service in terms of IT services.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Define and execute the tasks of supporting and deploying HSE applications.
  • Take care of customer tickets until they are concluded.
  • Establish the causes of incidents (RCA) and communicate them to the development teams.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure and product teams to ensure contractual service levels.
  • Implementation of support procedures that will be applied by the engineer and by other team members around the world (India, Singapore, etc.).
  • Responsible for maintaining, configuring, and reliably operating Oasis' HSE applications.
  • Adhere to and enforce strict security procedures in accordance with the requirements of the GSMA Security Accreditation System

EXPERIENCE et QUALIFICATION

  • Background: Engineering degree in computer science or in a similar field (Telecommunications, etc.)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in computer system administration or software development.
  • Good knowledge of computer networks and main operating systems (Windows and Linux)
  • Good level of coding in JAVA or other object-oriented language and Scripting (bash, python)
  • Proficiency in common databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Maria DB, etc.)
