In terms of organization, the university is currently bringing together several central IT units in order to ensure effective, service-oriented work in research, studies, teaching and administration that is geared towards the needs of users.
We are looking for a committed and experienced person to take responsibility for IT services relating to the equipment and support of IT workstations for our academic and administrative staff. The aim is to expand existing structures and adapt processes in order to provide IT services with the highest quality of service.
What are the main tasks that await you as head of the "IT Workstations" department?

Organizational and technical development of the IT workstations area of responsibility, including the service desk, in line with strategic goals
Establishing and implementing IT service management processes, IT documentation and ensuring compliance with service agreements
Management and operational support of services for setting up and maintaining IT devices at the workstations of all university employees
Procurement of hardware and software as well as technical advice for users of all organizational units of the university (e.g. departments, working groups, divisions, departments)
Supervision and training of trainees in the field of IT, with a focus on system integration
A completed academic degree (Bachelor's, Master's, Diploma) in IT or proven comparable qualifications and knowledge
A completed trainer aptitude test or the willingness to complete it
Sound knowledge of IT service management and process optimization
Comprehensive knowledge of overarching IT topics: Experience in 1st and 2nd level support as well as good knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, MAC), experience in dealing with ticket systems
Knowledge of English (B1).
