In return, we offer you great career opportunities to grow yourself in a truly global culture where respect, value creation, collaboration, integrity, and gratitude are highly valued and exhibited in everything we do.Job SummaryResponsible for the activities associated with completion of assigned Systems and/or Services proposal packages - including RFQ and specification review and compliance, product selection, architecture, cost estimation, and risk analysis - to achieve the company’s business objective of providing accurate and timely cost-based estimates and accompanying proposals. Requires coordination of technical and commercial design activities with the appropriate sales personnel, engineering resources, technical support consultants, project management personnel, and other proposal department members. The key objective is to provide internal and external customers with a quality proposal document backed by an accurate cost estimate.DUTIES / RESULTS:Reviews customer technical and commercial specifications/requirements and determines the adequacy of the supplied information to develop the requested deliverable.Accurately interprets scope of work, customer specifications and applies the optimum technical solution.Designs the proposal response, schedules all activities and coordinates the completion of those activities to meet the customer’s deadline.Attends customer pre-bid meetings, provides technical and commercial support at customer proposal review meetings.Applies company standards and solutions to meet customer requirements. This requires that the proposal manager stay current on all Yokogawa technical publications.Coordinates proposal activities with the appropriate sales personnel, legal counsel, technical consultants, project and application engineering personnel.Estimates all costs related to Yokogawa equipment and related software, sub-vendors, project execution and engineering, including identifying and estimating costs associated with identifiable risks.Reviews all quotes and technical responses for accuracy and completeness, including requesting technical reviews by Project or Service Delivery team members as required.Leads the price strategy decisions with sales, and project execution strategy decisions with Projects or Service Delivery teams.Prepares complete proposal packages including approvals for review by Project or Services Delivery Management for all assigned proposals, including presentation of these materials to Management in the Proposal Review Meeting.Verifies purchase orders and prepares Booking packages.Acts as the lead in handing over System or Service project proposals.Follows all proposal guidelines, processes and procedures.Qualifications & Experience:Education:BS in Engineering or technical discipline or equivalent experience.Prior Experience:12+ years of industrial control related experience with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in control analyzer systems proposals, engineering or service. Experience with Yokogawa Systems is preferred.Working knowledge of industrial analyzer process automation systems, including shelters, racks, cabinets, and sample systems networking, hardware and software components, engineering and integration.A good understanding of various contracting strategies, i.e. MAC, MIV, LSTK.Demonstrable ability to plan and deliver large value and/or complex greenfield, brownfield analytical or service proposals.Must have the ability to work independently, work well under deadlines, and use judgment in every phase of the estimation process.Proficiency with Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and MS Visio is required.
