Role purpose: With more than 1,000 Criteos based in France, France is a key location for Criteo. The People Relations Partner is the local expert for individual employee relations and local policies.


Working closely with the HR Director France, Functional People Business Partners, People Operations, Centers of Expertise (Comp & Ben, Benefits…) and managers, the role provides pragmatic, risk-aware advice and ensures that global People policies and programs are translated into legally compliant and workable local practices.


The role is expected to combine hands‑on case leadership with proactive risk management, manager capability‑building and continuous improvement of the French employee‑relations and compliance framework.


Key Responsibilities

  • Employee relations and case leadership
  • Partner with Functional PBPs on manager coaching, organisational impact of company decision, global people programs and communications, in line with the People Team operating model
  • Act as the primary individual employee‑relations advisor for France and the escalation point for complex local cases for People Business Partners and Managers.
  • Independently lead complex and sensitive matters, including performance and conduct cases, investigations, grievances and disciplinary or termination processes.
  • Assess legal, financial, operational, reputational and employee risks; define options and recommend a proportionate course of action in partnership with the relevant Functional PBP, HR Director France and Legal.
  • Ensure high‑quality case intake, documentation, chronology, decision tracking and follow‑up in line with the agreed ER case‑management standards.
  • Design and deliver targeted training, ER clinics, information sessions and practical guidance for managers and People teams.
  • Share recurring themes and recommendations that improve leadership capability, employee experience and social climate.
  • France compliance and policy implementation
  • Own the France employee‑relations and policies roadmap, prioritizing risks, statutory requirements, recurring themes and preventive actions.
  • Coordinate with People Operations and Centers of Expertise to implement compliant local processes (Performance and Development, Pay Transparency…) and maintain fit‑for‑purpose templates, tools and controls.
  • Oversee key local compliance topics such as working time, “forfait jours”, overtime, “entretien professionnels”, absence management, occupational health, health and safety, and other France‑specific requirements.
  • Act as the local escalation point for People Operations and support the development of reliable knowledge resources for managers and People teams.
  • Collective labour relations and social dialogue
  • Lead or co‑lead the preparation, facilitation and follow‑up of Health and Safety Committee (CSSCT)
  • Participate to union and other employee‑representative interactions, with support of the Senior Legal Employee Relations Manager where appropriate.
  • Data, insights and continuous improvement
  • Maintain and improve France ER dashboards covering case volumes, case types, time to closure, outcomes, litigation pipeline and key compliance indicators.
  • Analyze trends in absenteeism, performance, conduct, Hybrid work, employee feedback and collective‑relations signals to identify preventive actions.
  • Provide regular risk and social‑climate insights to the HR Director France and relevant People stakeholders.
  • Improve processes, templates, knowledge management and responsible use of AI‑enabled tools, with appropriate human review, privacy and confidentiality safeguards.

Who You Are: Experience and Qualifications

  • Significant experience in Human Resources, Employee Relations, including autonomous management of complex and sensitive employee‑relations matters.
  • Strong knowledge of French employment law, employee‑relations practice, collective labour relations and the practical requirements of a technology or fast‑changing business environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess risk, make sound recommendations and lead cases or projects through to resolution.
  • Experience partnering with managers, People Business Partners, People Operations, Centers of Expertise and Legal.
  • Strong coaching, influencing and conflict‑resolution skills.
  • Analytical, structured and solutions‑oriented approach, with the ability to prioritize competing risks and deadlines.
