About the Role
We are looking for an In-Vehicle Smart Cockpit Test Engineer to support an automotive project for a leading OEM in France.
The role focuses on vehicle-level testing and validation of In-Vehicle Infotainment (IVI) and Instrument Cluster systems in real-vehicle environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle-level and bench testing of IVI and Instrument Cluster systems.
- Verify functional performance and system stability under various static and dynamic driving scenarios.
- Set up test benches and execute functional, performance and stability test cases.
- Test key IVI and connectivity functions, including navigation, multimedia, Bluetooth, voice assistant, HMI interactions, telematics, OTA updates, eCall and network handovers.
- Log, reproduce and track defects through to resolution and closure.
- Troubleshoot issues and support root-cause analysis.
- Maintain regular communication with the software team in China and the local French team.
- Provide timely updates on testing progress, critical issues and project risks.
- Follow established automotive testing methodologies and processes, including ASPICE-related activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Vehicle Engineering, Electronics, Computer Science, Automation or a related field.
- Previous experience in automotive testing, preferably with an OEM or Tier 1 supplier.
- Hands-on experience with both in-vehicle and bench testing.
- Practical experience with automotive testing tools such as CANoe, CANalyzer, ZLG (ZHIYUAN Electronics), diagnostic tools or equivalent.
- Familiarity with IVI and Instrument Cluster testing.
- Understanding of connectivity and vehicle functions such as telematics, OTA, eCall, remote vehicle control and network handovers.
- Familiarity with ASPICE processes.
- Strong English communication skills.
- Fluent Mandarin Chinese is a strong advantage.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in an international, cross-functional environment. xuezdbg
