Senior Legal Counsel – Supply Chain, Procurement

Thai Union Europe is part of Thai Union Group, a global leader in the food industry with a strong industrial footprint and multi-site operations across EMEA. The Senior Legal Counsel will provide pragmatic and business-oriented legal support to Procurement, Supply Chain, Industrial Operations, Logistics and IT functions across the region.

The role will support the negotiation of commercial agreements, manage legal risks associated with operational activities, and contribute to the delivery of strategic projects in a complex international environment.

Working closely with business stakeholders and the wider Legal team, the position offers broad exposure to operational and commercial matters across multiple jurisdictions.

Key accountabilities:

Commercial Contracting & Legal Advisory

• Draft, review and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, including:
• Procurement and supplier agreements
• Logistics and warehousing contracts
• Service agreements
• Manufacturing and industrial services agreements
• Provide practical legal advice to business stakeholders on day-to-day operational matters
• Support contract lifecycle management and ensure compliance with internal policies and legal standards

Business Partnering

• Act as a trusted legal business partner to Procurement, Supply Chain, Industrial Operations, Finance and IT teams
• Contribute to cross-functional projects by identifying legal risks and proposing pragmatic solutions
• Support the implementation of legal frameworks and templates across the region

Risk Management & Disputes

• Identify, assess and mitigate contractual and operational risks
• Assist in the management of contractual disputes, claims and pre-litigation matters
• Escalate significant legal risks and sensitive matters where appropriate

Compliance & Governance

• Support the implementation of compliance initiatives and internal governance requirements
• Ensure contractual practices remain aligned with applicable laws and company policies
• Deliver legal awareness and training sessions to business stakeholders when required

Candidate profile :

Master’s degree in business law or equivalent legal qualification

Qualified lawyer or in-house counsel with approximately 8/10 years of experience

Strong experience in commercial contracts and business law, CLM experience is a +

Experience in an industrial, manufacturing, consumer goods or FMCG environment is highly desirable

Solid contract drafting and negotiation skills

Ability to provide practical and solution-oriented legal advice

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

Ability to work autonomously while collaborating effectively within an international legal team

Fluent in English and French

Strategic thinking with strong business acumen

Ability to operate in complex, fast-paced, and international environments

Strong negotiation and influencing capabilities at senior level

Sound judgment and ability to balance risk and operational imperatives

Credibility and presence to engage with senior stakeholders
