As WeMaintain continues to grow and strengthen its Group Finance organisation, we are moving towards more robust and consistent monthly accounting and closing processes across our international entities.
Reporting to Ingrid, our Global Head of Accounting, you will play a key role in the day-to-day accounting production of the Group and help ensure the quality, accuracy and consistency of our accounts across France, the UK, Singapore, Hong Kongl.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced general accountant who enjoys getting into the details, working across several entities and contributing to the development of more structured and scalable accounting processes.
Your day-to-day at WeMaintainAs our Senior Group Accountant, you will:Support monthly and year-end closingContribute to the implementation and continuous improvement of robust monthly closing processes across the GroupPrepare and review general ledger entries, accruals, provisions and other closing adjustmentsEnsure balance sheet accounts are properly reconciled, documented and supportedHelp ensure monthly accounts are complete, accurate and delivered within agreed timelinesSupport year-end closing activities and the preparation of audit-ready accounting filesManage day-to-day general accounting across our entitiesPerform general ledger accounting activities for several WeMaintain entitiesReview and maintain the accuracy of accounting records and supporting documentationSupport accounting activities across France, the UK, Singapore, and Hong Kong, with a particular focus on our French and UK entitiesInvestigate accounting discrepancies and work with local and Group stakeholders to resolve themEnsure accounting policies and processes are applied consistently across entitiesSupport intercompany and consolidation processesPrepare and review intercompany transactions and reconciliations across Group entitiesInvestigate and resolve intercompany differences in a timely mannerSupport the preparation of consolidation schedules and related accounting informationHelp improve the reliability and consistency of Group reporting flows between local entities and Group FinanceManage VAT, indirect tax and tax-related accountingSupport VAT, GST and other indirect tax reporting and compliance across our different entitiesPrepare or coordinate tax-related accounting entries and supporting documentationWork with local Finance teams and external advisors where requiredHelp ensure statutory and tax deadlines are properly monitored and respectedContribute to accounting quality and process improvementIdentify opportunities to simplify, standardise and improve accounting processesStrengthen documentation, reconciliations and internal review practicesSupport the development of scalable accounting processes as the Group continues to growWork closely with the Global Head of Accounting and wider Finance team to raise accounting quality across the organisationSupport audit and reporting activitiesPrepare supporting documentation requested by external auditorsAssist with
