You will work on Doctolib Assistant, our AI personal assistant designed to assist doctors and medical staff in their daily work—from answering complex medical questions to automating administrative tasks with accuracy, reliability, and safety.
Working in the tech team at Doctolib means building innovative products and features to improve the daily lives of care teams and patients.
What you'll buildYour responsibilities include but are not limited to:Design, ship, and operate production-grade agentic systems powering Doctolib Assistant, our AI personal assistant that addresses key challenges for healthcare professionalsBuild and improve AI agents and our orchestration systemsPartner with data scientists to design and implement evaluation pipelines, security/safety guardrails, and metrics—while taking ownership of operational AI projects as data science teams focus on exploratory researchDevelop and maintain core agentic capabilities including memory, reasoning orchestration, tool adapters, and multi-agent coordination, ensuring strong observability, fallback mechanisms, and fail-safe behaviorsOwn performance, observability and security: monitoring dashboards, SLO/SLI, and security postureEnsure privacy and security by design, with a particular focus on medical data sensitivityContribute to fullstack development when needed to deliver end-to-end features for healthcare professionalsWhat you'll bringBefore you read on: if you don't have the exact profile described below, but you feel this

You'll be a great fit if you:Have 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, with hands-on experience in AI/ML systemsHave 2+ years of experience working with PythonHave gone through the full lifecycle of an AI product, from initial evaluation and launch to iterations based on results in productionUnderstand and promote best practices related to the software development life cycle such as automated testing, good use of CI/CD, and DevOps practicesAre comfortable with fullstack development and not afraid to dive into React/TypeScript/Kotlin to ship end-to-end featuresAre product-oriented and comfortable guiding your teammates to suggest tradeoffs to balance business needs with technical constraintsAre comfortable speaking and writing in English in your day-to-day work with the teamIt would be fantastic if you:Have experience building multi-agent systems or agent development frameworksHave worked on AI products for enterprise/professional usersHave experience in the medical domain or healthcare techLife at Doctolib TechOur solutions are built on a single, fully cloud-native platform that supports web and mobile app interfaces, multiple languages, and is adapted to country and healthcare specialty requirements.
