The Corporate Services Directorate (CS) – Information Technology Division (CS-IT) is seeking a highly skilled Murex Application Specialist to play a key technical role in the implementation, administration and support of the Bank's new Capital Markets System (CMS). The position will be instrumental in establishing a robust, secure and scalable Murex platform supporting Treasury, Funding, Risk Management and Operations activities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical administration, configuration, integration and operational support of the Murex platform throughout the implementation phase and into production, ensuring high availability, performance, resilience and operational excellence. This role requires strong expertise in Murex architecture, environment management, system integration, release management, and production support within a financial markets environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Murex Application Administration and Configuration

  1. Administer and maintain the Murex platform, ensuring its availability, stability and alignment with business requirements.
  2. Configure and manage Murex modules supporting Treasury, Funding, Capital Markets, Risk Management, Collateral Management and Back-Office operations.
  3. Maintain and optimize static data, product configuration, market data, workflows, accounting rules and operational reference data.
  4. Ensure consistency of configurations across development, test and production environments.
  5. Manage parameterization changes and coordinate their promotion through the software development lifecycle.

Business Solution Support

  1. Act as the primary application expert for Murex, translating business requirements into system configurations.
  2. Support the implementation of new products, business processes and regulatory requirements within Murex.
  3. Analyse and resolve functional issues affecting trade capture, lifecycle management, settlements, accounting, risk calculations and reporting.
  4. Work closely with Treasury, Finance, Risk Management and Operations teams to ensure system configurations meet business needs.

Integration and Data Management

  1. Support interfaces between Murex and surrounding systems, including market data providers, payment systems, data warehouses, accounting and reporting platforms.
  2. Monitor and validate data flows, ensuring data quality, completeness and operational integrity.
  3. Contribute to data migration, reconciliation and validation activities during implementation and future upgrades.

Testing and Release Management

  1. Participate in functional and technical testing activities, including SIT, UAT, regression and non-functional testing.
  2. Coordinate application releases and configuration deployments across environments.
  3. Ensure proper documentation, traceability and change management practices for all system modifications.

Operational Support and Continuous Improvement

  1. Provide second- and third-level support for Murex-related incidents and service requests.
  2. Perform root cause analysis and implement sustainable solutions to recurring issues.
  3. Identify opportunities for process optimisation and increased automation within Murex and connected systems.
  4. Contribute to platform upgrades, implementation of new modules and continuous enhancement initiatives.

PROFILE

Academic background:

  1. Advanced degree (Master’s level or equivalent) in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field

Professional background:

  1. Demonstrated relevant experience in Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk Management or Financial Systems environments.
  2. Proven experience configuring and supporting Murex MX.3 in a banking or financial institution.
  3. Strong understanding of front-to-back trade processing, including trade capture, lifecycle events
