Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – France, responsible for Finance, Tax, and Procurement domains. Leads a Management Accounting team, Financial Accounting/Tax team, Procurement team, and Portfolio Change Management.
Key Responsibilities- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for the branch, coordinating with the Country Manager and Regional CFO.
- Provide direction to department heads on accounting and budgeting policies, controls and resources.
- Supervise local Finance and Accounting department, ensuring French GAAP compliance and MIS development.
- Manage capital management information and reporting.
- Ensure compliance with French tax obligations and ING tax policies.
- Oversee the Procurement function to secure quality and value while implementing the ING Bank Procurement Policy.
- Develop and enforce internal control policies, monitoring financial transactions against local legislation and IAS/IFRS.
- Report monthly results, perform variance analysis, and present financial statements and forecasts to senior management.
- Lead the Portfolio Management Committee and the Change Portfolio Management Committee.
- Identify, develop and recruit staff talent, ensuring succession planning and capability building.
- Participate in weekly Management Team meetings, providing financial and strategic insights.
- Collaborate with auditors and regulators, maintaining strong relationships.
- Master’s degree in finance or a related field and/or professional certifications such as Chartered Accountant / Accountant Expert.
- At least 4 years of senior management experience in wholesale banking.
- Strong knowledge of French regulatory accounting, tax environments, and French GAAP.
- Proficiency in IFRS, financial and management accounting, and internal controls.
- Strong strategic thinking, cross‑organizational perspective, and the ability to influence senior leaders.
- Leadership experience in project and transformational initiatives with demonstrated results.
- Track record of building capabilities, leading people, and driving operational excellence.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication and networking skills. xuezdbg
