The Role

As Director, Liquidity Commercialisation in Global Payments Solutions you’ll help clients maximise the value of their liquidity through effective and efficient liquidity and investment solutions. Based in Paris you’ll focus on domestic opportunities in France as well as regionally integrated solutions across Europe working closely with colleagues across Liquidity and GPS to bring a consistent approach to market. The role is predominantly client facing and advisory, supporting Corporate and Institutional clients with complex liquidity management objectives. Success means converting client needs into well-positioned solutions, strengthening HSBC’s market profile and translating opportunities into revenue across your pipeline. Some travel is expected.

What you'll be doing

  • Meet Corporate and Institutional clients to align liquidity solutions to their objectives including working capital efficiency
  • Support domestic and regional deals across liquidity and investment products including RFPs, client prospecting and expanding existing relationships
  • Provide market and industry best-practice input to GPS Sales to shape solution development, positioning, validation and implementation
  • Develop thought leadership on liquidity themes relevant to corporate treasurers and CFOs from immediate issues to forward-looking trends
  • Run initiatives to commercialise the liquidity management product suite through industry events, client events and webinars with Sales and Marketing
  • Coordinate corridor collaboration across regions to identify client opportunities with key stakeholders
  • Convert Europe opportunities into new business revenues through pipeline management and portfolio analysis across segments in partnership with Sales and RMs
  • Design and deliver globally consistent training programmes on liquidity topics to enable frontline teams in strategic client conversations
  • Promote HSBC’s profile as a liquidity management specialist through media and marketing initiatives

What we're looking for

  • Bring substantial cash management experience within a bank advising corporate clients on complex liquidity management solutions
  • Demonstrate strong product knowledge across cash management including liquidity management such as cash pooling and investment products such as deposits and money market funds
  • Show a proven track record of producing thought leadership for senior stakeholders including CFOs and CEOs as well as banking, payments and treasury technology partners
  • Communicate complex information clearly in writing and in conversation for varied audiences
  • Build effective networks across business areas and sustain relationships based on mutual trust
  • Manage complex relationships with significant customers and multiple stakeholders
  • Apply a data-driven approach to opportunity identification and client engagement
  • Use French proficiently or bring the ability to operate effectively in a French-speaking environment
