In the context of non-destructive testing (NDT) of the civil engineering of EDF's nuclear and hydro power plants in operation, the challenges of extending the service life of installations and optimizing maintenance; of new construction, with the challenges of quality control and searching for construction defects; and finally of deconstruction, where knowledge of the existing state of the structure is limited (i.e. reinforcement plans, cut-outs, work, etc.), it is necessary to work on modernized, high-performance auscultation tools to meet these critical challenges. e.g. reinforcement plans, cut-outs, works, etc.), it is necessary to work on modernized, high-performance auscultation tools to provide answers to these critical issues. Basic measurement systems allow us to estimate the speed of ultrasonic waves in the medium, which is an indicator of its condition. Recently, a measurement system [3] has appeared on the market that can image a concrete structure in the same way as an ultrasound scan. It's a multi-element system comprising dry-contact transducers, requiring no coupling and thus facilitating its use on concrete. The transducers operate at frequencies of around 50 kHz, corresponding to a wavelength of the order of 5 cm, greater than the size of the concrete aggregates, thus limiting the phenomenon of wave multi-diffraction on the aggregates [4]. Indeed, inspection of this material is severely limited by this phenomenon due to its material heterogeneity. The system enables multi-static acquisitions, opening the way to more advanced imaging methods than the migration method conventionally used in NDT.
