Within P&C Solutions, key business enabler of P&C, you are in charge of managing UW Portfolio Management entity comprised of key steering functions in order to support Reinsurance and Specialty Insurance underwriting. You will manage Underwriting Management, Accumulation, Inforce Management & Analytics, Cyber, Knowledge and will have the mission to gear those key practices towards underwriting performance, business development and operational efficiency to the benefit of P&C. You will in addition bring your targeted contribution on regular strategic initiatives to support P&C CEO and Management Team (eg Balance/Venus projects, SCOR Partners and the set up and coordination of P&C Knowledge chapters,). Your outstanding leadership, generalist UW expertise and strong analytical capabilities will be key success factors of the management of UW Portfolio Management.
- Managing UW Portfolio Management, you oversee the following key steering practices supporting Reinsurance and Specialty Insurance in their daily underwriting actions:

- Underwriting Management
- Accumulation
- Inforce management & Analytics:

- Cyber Solutions
- Knowledge
- As part of the new P&C Solutions organization, UW Portfolio Management is expected to:

- primarily:

- Supervise Underwriting management activities and related governance, including the authority to proceed with ad hoc portfolio review
- Bring Underwriting Management and Accumulation together to the benefit of an improved portfolio steering consistency and efficiency
- Develop new approaches on risk knowledge, portfolio analysis, and performance optimization within Inforce Management & Analytics
- Coordinate Underwriting Management and Inforce Management to enhance qualitative and quantitative portfolio steering tools and contribute to ad hoc portfolio management projects requested by P&C CEO and Management Team, eg:

- Balance project (P&L Volatility Management)
- Venus 2 project (Capital Management)
- ESG project (Sustainability Management)
- Steer the Cyber Solutions team to achieve portfolio management objectives while accompanying clients’ efforts to promote the insurability of the Cyber peril
- Contribute actively, following the Agile methodology principles, to the setup of P&C Knowledge Chapters within SCOR Partners, and to the management of strategic areas of expertise to ensure P&C underwriting performance
- enhance the ability for agile working by creating larger teams; and a regrouping of similar skills sets into a single team regardless of functions to allow synergies
- reduce the amount of duplicated work, internal controls/steps and identify more opportunities for automation
- reduce the number of managers and create opportunities for Expert careers
- have large pluri-disciplinary teams that allows better internal mobility, a more diversified job and better opportunities for high potential employees
- ultimately contribute to business development, performance management and frugal management of our resources

Required experience & competencies
- Ideally, a minimum of 20 years work experience on similar fields in an international environment,
- Ability to lead and manage experts teams,
- Proven analytical and technical underwriting skills, reinsurance and insurance,
- Proven International exposures,
- Ability to contribute to strategic initiatives elaboration and implementation
- English is necessary

Required Education

A minimum of a college degree in Mathematics, Engineering or equivalent discipline. Business degree in addition would be a plus.
