Role Overview
Be the representative of the Site for all the strategic development Projects for the engineering and construction phases (smooth integration within the Site), and be the Leader for the Permitting and the start up phases.
In the context of a strategic transformation in order to address the new energy markets, Solvay La Rochelle is looking for a Strategic & projectsManager.
The 3 main projects lead to:
- a hub for magnet supply chain in Europe
- a pilot for recycling critical raw materials in Li-ion Battery
- an industrial transition to carbon neutrality & reduction of resources consumption
He/She is responsible for the projects integration on the site and for the start-up of the installation.
In this respect he/she must:
- Define, commit and coordinate the necessary resources on the site (Process, Instrumentation, On site Engineering, Production).
- Participate in the design and execution studies and ensure that the site requirements are taken into account regarding safety, quality, technology, maintenance and environment.
- Prepare and issue the necessary files to obtain administrative authorizations and ensure their follow-up.
- Prepare the site organization to take over the facility (start-up, operation, maintenance...).
- Prepare and follow-up budgets and schedule related to start-up, operation and maintenance.
- Report to the Project Director the project’s progress and results obtained, as well as to the site authorities.
- In coordination with the engineering dept, he/She will report to the Site Director for site projects budgets and schedule.
