**Position Description***

The incumbent will join the CORE (Center for Observational & Real-world Evidence) regional Eastern Europe, Middle East & Africa (EEMEA) team and will work with existing team members to support focus on the areas of Global Pharmaceutical (Infectious Disease, Cardiovascular, Virology).

Under the guidance of the CORE EEMEA Lead, the incumbent will have the responsibility of supporting the interpretation and translation of Global integrated evidence strategies developed for adaptation by EEMEA markets. The scope of this will include supporting Health Technology Assessment (HTA)/reimbursement dossier submissions and overall Real World & Economical Evidence activities in the region. This process includes tight alignment with the CORE colleagues and cross-functional team members regarding strategy and plans, as well as having a high-level awareness of the setting and challenges in the EEMEA Countries. A close collaboration with regional above-markets teams (incl Market Access, Medical Affairs, Policy and Marketing) is required to ensure consistency with strategies. Another focus of the incumbent will be to collaborate with key markets to identify evidence gaps as well as how to support the value discussion, and address these from the Health Economic/Outcomes Research (HEOR) perspective, including development of supporting arguments addressing discussion and interaction with payers, health systems and clinicians at country level.

The role involves interactions with our company country affiliates to have an understanding of country specific HTA/reimbursement needs and to ensure timely and efficient HTA/reimbursement submission, including support country specific adaptation of the global cost-effectiveness (CE) and budget impact (BI) models in the EEMEA Region.

The incumbent should be able to work with local teams around OR strategy and support and train the teams in relation to local OR and Local Data Generation (LDG) study execution. Another important element is to support our company colleagues as well as local thought leaders/researchers to understand and utilize evidence in the areas of HTA, OR and RWE, enabling them to make correct interpretations of HEOR studies as well as how to interpret CE and BI analysis for health policy decision-making at various levels in healthcare systems.

This position will focus on Infectious disease, Virology & Cardiovascular (Global Pharma). Specific roles include but are not limited to:

- Understanding of HTA and market access environment in the EEMEA region
- Ensuring that CORE Global Pharma activities are optimized within the EEMEA region and actively communicate across functions to ensure efficiency in regard to alignment and optimal support
- Providing scientific health economic and outcomes research support in oncology and vaccines in the EEMEA region
- Align CORE activities, including studies, models, publications, advice, to priorities for the priority markets in the EEMEA region - working in close collaboration with the above-market support teams in Market Access & Pricing, Medical Affairs, Policy and Marketing
- Maintain awareness of scientific and HEOR developments for the assigned therapeutic areas, both in terms of new methodology and new activities
- Presenting HEOR data internally to the regional colleagues and externally at international/regional/national congresses, and publishing articles in scientific journals

**Education Minimum Requirement**:
A masters or doctoral degree ( Ph.D., Pharm.D., M.D.) and work experience in health economics, epidemiology or outcomes research

**Required Experience and Skills**:

- A minimum of 5 years biotech/pharmaceutical and a health economic or outcomes research experience
- An understanding of Value Evidence Assessment and its role in determining market access
- Experience and success in leading projects and interacting with cross-functional teams
- Experience in collaborating with external researcher teams, setting up studies and co-publishing
- Leadership and influencing skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

**Preferred Experience and Skills**:

- Experience working in EEMEA
- Experience of working in cardiovascular & infectious disease field
