**Central Data Privacy Specialist**

The Chief Data Protection Officer (CDPO) is in charge of setting up the AXA XL Division data privacy strategy and leading the 2nd line of defence Privacy team to achieve ongoing compliance with regulatory and AXA Group data privacy requirements.

The Central Data Privacy Specialist (the “Specialist”) will play a key role in supporting the AXA XL Division in meeting its obligations under data privacy laws. Reporting to the Divisional Chief Data Privacy Officer (CDPO), the Central Data Privacy Specialist will support Data Privacy compliance matters with focus on EU GDPR. The scope can be extended on an ad’hoc basis to other Data Privacy laws impacting the Division.

What will your essential responsibilities include?
- Lead selected compliance projects including DPO specialized work with scope agreed with CDPO to meet data privacy regulatory requirements in collaboration when required with 1st line of defense and other members of the DPO team, collecting notably status from other members of the Data Privacy team and 1st line of defense if required.
- Produce or adapt specialized guidance (operating modes) and training packs to comply with new, complex or evolving data privacy requirements (such as New SCCs, Transfer Impact Assessments). Coordinate and lead trainings.
- Supporting the CDPO for its reporting obligations to AXA XL Companies Governance Committees, ExCom and Boards : preparting specialized presentation to the Monthly TIA Committee, ExComs or regulated Boards and any other Governance Committee as deemed necessary by the CDPO, prepare and lead presentations when necessary notably to All DPOs Calls, Teams meeting, including when necessary the coordination of information gathering from other members of the DPO team.
- Being the deputy of CDPO when required in diverse meetings, notably with AXA Group.
- Performing Transfer Impact Assessments and Data Privacy Impact Assessment on projects and tools.
- Being part of the Center of Expertise supporting other DPO or Correspondents as framed within the Data Privacy Roles and Reponsibility framework, for example in the Nordics Region.
- This can cover training of new DPOs on specialized matters, for example on 2nd line of defense controls or work on ROPA.
- Support wider Divisional Data Privacy compliance framework when deemed necessary, as agreed through quarterly planning agreed with CDPO. This can include participation in preparation of the 3 yearly Audits mandated by the AXA Group or any other Audit, support to coordination of Schrems II BAU work, review or performance of transfer impact assessments.
- Review for appropriateness service or business contracts under which personal data processing activities are performed, on all Divisional scope.
