To provide expert advice and support the execution of demonstrable technical due diligence for all marine operations completed during the execution of the Construction campaign of Saint Brieuc.

Representing the Marine & Site Operations department on the Saint Brieuc Project based at the construction office in Kerantour this position is to
- support the effective planning, coordination, and management of associated logistics for project marine operations;
- manage and lead auditable marine assurance process for marine operations using AMS processes;
- oversee close out marine incidents and capture operational experience;
- ensure compliance with the project offshore procedures for all matters pertaining to the planning and management of marine site operations.

Close package interface based at site offering consultancy and marine operations managerial support developing the inspection program, managing vessel inspections and operator audits, support marine co-ordination onboarding efforts and provide offshore supervision, as appropriate to ensure operations are completed as per documented marine assurance.

The job holder will need to establish strong relationships with internal marine stakeholders and manage external consultants for vessel inspection and owner audits to ensure timely dispatch.

Domain awareness includes but is not limited to all matters relating environmental consent compliance, navigation, loadout, transportation and installation operations, communications systems, shipping, and ports.

As marine operations manager your focus will be to ensure marine assurance is at the fore of any marine operations.

**_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES_**:

- Provide operational management of marine assurance including vessel onboarding and crew inductions, inspections and managerial visits to all infield vessels.
- Direct marine related contracts such as guard vessel, crew transfer vessels and manage associated logistics.
- Responsible to ensure AURNAV are issued on time and records maintained
- Participate in the Site Works Committee including review of RAMS and method statements and their acceptance
- Ensure the MCC is managed to ensure safe, efficient marine operations offshore
- Liaise closely with the Project HSE team to ensure project procedures & audits co-ordinated and minimised to reduce multiple attendances
- Assist in planning and execution of emergency drills
- Manage external consultants and be commercially responsible for ensuring vessels are inspected and, where applicable owners audited to demonstrate compliance with Offshore Business SMS.
- Liaise with external stakeholders including local authorities, CROSS, and fisheries
- Ensure all incidents are notified and support signoff to confirm closeout of incidents to appropriate conclusion.

**_MAIN FUNCTIONS AND ACTIVITIES_**:

- Manage, review, and implement measures to maximise marine operational success of the Saint Brieuc offshore wind project for to vessel suitability, conditions, crew competency etc.
- Support the readiness of marine operations through review of manual and inspection/ attendance the acceptable of use of vessels engaged on Saint Brieuc project.
- Induct, for the purposes of raising awareness the projects and process of vessel and audits and provide appropriate guidance to ensure timely completion of associated audit and inspection tasks.
- Initiate, review and enforce vessel Health & Safety, & Environmental management visits and corrective actions through close interaction with vessel crews.
- Manage, using external consultants a varied range of inspections including marine assurance audits, and vetting evaluations, accident investigation and other marine advisory services across construction vessel and craft spread
- Conduct a periodic review of programs, processes, and metrics to ensure continuous improvement for vessel inspection.
- Communicate findings both verbally and in the form of written reports and correspondence in a timely manner.
- Assist with post-incident management and close-out with relevant parties to ensure minimum commercial disruption including managing notification of incidents internally as required and any Marine follow-up is carried out as necessary

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Educated to Degree level in Marine, Master Mariner, Chief Engineer/2nd Engineer background;
- Minimum
- Certified Master Mariner or Chief Engineer (Unlimited STCW II/2 CoC);

- AVI Accreditation - Desirable/ GWO - Desirable
- Demonstrable knowledge of Offshore Renewable Energy Installations (OREI) legislation and French consent requirements essential - Desirable
- Sea-going experience as Master/Chief Officer, Chief Engineer/1st Engineer as well as experience in the provision of relevant consultancy/project services including inspections/audits/FMEAS/Engineering projects - Minimum
