**The Microbial Solutions Business located in Rhone, Ecully, France is seeking a Site Director.**

**Basic Summary**

This role is responsible for the Microbial Solutions business territory implementation and achievement of short
- and long-range objectives, policies, budgets and operating plans developed by the Microbial Solution Leadership Team and cascaded through the strategic planning process.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Responsible for the overall Financial performance of the entity per established goals and metrics including controlling expenses, adhering to capex limits and supporting the commercial team in revenue generating activities.
- Direct all operating activities including but not limited to work schedules, materials, equipment, and workforce requirements.
- Develop short
- and long-range operating objectives, organizational structure, and staffing plans. Oversee the development of a plan for backup and succession of key personnel.- Develop site operating budget, including payroll, materials, supplies, and capital expenditures, and submit annually for approval. Authorize expenditures in accordance with budget. Approve budget and expenses of subordinates.
- Meet with clients both on site and at client sites as required to support sales activities.
- Direct the development and communication of departmental systems, SOPs, policies and procedures.
- Manage and maintain good relationships with HR and CSE (Comite Social et Economic (Economic and Social committee referred to as ‘workscouncil’).
- Manage the organization and negotiation of mandatory consultations (NAO -Negotation annuelles obligatoires (Mandatory Annual negotiations with CSE)
- Manage the organization of the election of the new CSE council as required.
- Monitor the effective implementation of appropriate Safety and Environment System procedures and provide for their updating in line with changes in Legislation and Company Directives.
- In coordination with Corporate and European Security management, develop and implement security policies, protocols and procedures. Plan and coordinate security operations for specific events. Coordinate staff when responding to emergencies and alarm. Review reports on incidents and breaches.
- Ensure compliance of the site activities with the regulatory requirements (ISO 17025, ISO 9001, GMP, FDA, EMA etc ).
- Ensure compliance with all Company, Country, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Represent the Company to customers, visitors, community organizations, local/state and governmental authorities, unions, and regulatory agencies.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned by CVP Europe & APAC Ops or other senior business leadership personnel as appropriate.

**Job Qualifications**
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.Sc.) or equivalent in a Scientific Discipline. A second Business Administration or related degree would be an advantage.
- Experience: five to seven years related experience in GMP or equivalent site operations and general business management. It would be an advantage to have experience in some or all of the following areas: Contract Laboratory Management and French HR policies and practices.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted as a satisfactory substitute for the specific education and experience listed above.
- Certification/Licensure: None.
- Other: Excellent communication skills with ability to develop strong working relationships with internal teams and external contacts.
- Must be able to write and speak fluently in English and French.
- Must be able to prioritize workload and manage multiple competing deadlines to achieve objectives
