We are expanding our R&D team in Massy, France, including a Standards & Technology unit, part of Business Unit Networks global Standards & Technology organization. At Standards & Technology we ensure technology leadership in Radio Access Networks (RAN) by actively driving standardization, new architectures, concepts and testbeds including SW- and HW research. Technical focus include 6G, automation / artificial intelligence, cyber security and more.

We are now looking for new members in our standardization team The position is in the 3GPP (3rd Generation Partnership Project) RAN4 standardization area and with focus on defining radio requirements for 5G evolution and 6G. You will collaborate in cross-organizational teams and have opportunities to learn and work with top industry researchers on the latest technologies, contributing to Ericsson technology strategy and developing novel concepts, solutions and algorithms.

**In this role, you will**:

- Work in an international team of world-class standardization colleagues and researchers with different backgrounds and experiences in developing novel solutions and concepts for future mobile network evolution.
- Develop Research strategies, actively participate and drive standardization, and more specifically develop and drive requirements for 5G evolution and new 6G features in 3GPP RAN4 and protect them with Intellectual Property Rights (IPR).
- Perform research, generate simulation results, and write 3GPP contributions in RAN4 in cooperation with other colleagues.
- Evaluate internal and external standardization proposals, and coordinate with internal research, product owners, and development teams.
- Represent Ericsson in RAN4 meetings if/as needed, university collaborations, and customer meetings.
- Manage and contribute to industry-related interactions and engagements within Ericsson including Product Lines, Development Units, Customer Units, and ecosystem partners.
- Communicate results, a very important aspect of the work we do

**To be successful in the role you have to**:

- PhD, MSc. degree or equivalent, in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related. Preferably with a specialization towards Networking and physical layer aspects of Wireless Communication
- Excellent knowledge of Mobile Networks and industry understanding with a strong background in radio communication and signal processing
- Competence in demodulation performance requirements, massive-MIMO, signal processing, radio spectrum including and link simulations
- Experience from new concepts
- IPR development, and standardization (e.g. 3GPP, ORAN, ETSI, IEEE, or other telecom-related bodies)
- Excellent analytical thinking with a high ability to understand and drive technical conceptual proposals and solutions
- Excellent drive and ability to execute, decide & initiate action
- Outstanding networking, collaboration, communication, and innovation skills with a strong interpersonal focus
- Comfortable with speaking in public, participating in discussions and technical debates
- Proficiency in English, both written and spoken. French language skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel
