**Legal Counsel, Regulatory (9-month FTC) // Juriste, Affaires Réglementaires H/F (CDD - 9mois)**

Expedia Group’s Legal Team is looking for a Legal Counsel to join us in Paris for 9 months to cover a maternity leave within the team.

This is a great opportunity to partner with and learn from a strong legal team based in Paris and support on a variety of topics that affect the Vacation Rentals business lines within Expedia Group (i.e. Vrbo).

**What you’ll do**:

- Demonstrate understanding of how Expedia Group does business (i.e. business model and operations, financial performance, and key success factors)
- Develop understanding of industry and our objectives
- Respond consistently to stakeholder requests in an accurate, timely and professional manner
- Gain stakeholder trust by effectively addressing their needs
- Work on problems within a defined domain
- Demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
- Develop skills to influence and gain cooperation of peers and stakeholders
- Receive little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments
- Identify significant risks and escalates appropriately
- Implement solutions to complex problems with general guidance
- Understand basics of laws and other mandatory requirements applicable to supported business units
- Be responsible for maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws and other mandatory requirements applicable to supported business units
- Articulate clear legal analyses and commercial arrangements in communications and documents
- Develop expertise in contracting for supported business units
- Identify and addresses gaps in business terms
- Suggest preferred alternatives by relating them to the party's needs and identifies problems with undesirable alternatives
- Work directly with lower level business clients
- Work with more senior clients under supervision and/or on a project specific basis

**Who you are**:

- 2-4 years of experience in legal roles
- Master’s degree in related field;or equivalent related professional experience
- Admission to a relevant bar association (or equivalent license status)
- Speaks fluent English and French (Italian would be a plus)
- Developing professional expertise as a lawyer
- Subject matter expert with limited responsibility within a legal function

L’équipe juridique d’ExpediaGroup recherche un(e) juriste pour rejoindre ses bureaux à Paris dans le cadre d’un remplacement de 9mois pour congé de maternité.

Vous avez l’opportunité d’apprendre et de collaborer avec une équipe juridique solide basée dans la capitale française et d’apporter votre soutien sur divers sujets liés au secteur de la location de vacances au sein d’ExpediaGroup (Abritel).

**Vos missions**:

- Démontrer une compréhension de la manière dont ExpediaGroup exerce ses activités (modèle commercial et opérations, performances financières et facteurs clés de réussite)
- Appliquer les politiques et procédures d’ExpediaGroup pour résoudre des problèmes divers
- Acquérir une compréhension du secteur et de nos objectifs
- Répondre systématiquement aux demandes des intervenants de manière précise, rapide et professionnelle
- Gagner la confiance des parties intéressées en répondant efficacement à leurs besoins
- S’atteler à la résolution de problèmes dans un domaine défini
- Faire preuve de discernement dans le choix de méthodes et techniques visant à obtenir des solutions
- Développer des compétences pour influencer et obtenir la coopération de pairs et intervenants
- Recevoir un minimum d’instructions sur le travail quotidien, ainsi que des instructions générales sur les nouvelles missions
- Identifier les risques importants et les faire remonter de manière appropriée
- Mettre en œuvre des solutions à des problèmes complexes à l’aide de conseils généraux
- Comprendre les bases légales et autres obligations applicables aux entités commerciales concernées
- Être responsable de la mise à jour des connaissances en matière de législation et autres obligations applicables aux entités commerciales concernées
- Formuler des analyses juridiques et des accords commerciaux clairs dans les communications et les documents
- Développer une expertise en matière de passation de marchés pour les entités commerciales concernées
- Identifier et combler les lacunes dans les termes commerciaux
- Proposer des alternatives à privilégier en les mettant en relation avec les besoins de la partie concernée et identifier les problèmes posés par des alternatives non souhaitables
- Traiter directement avec des clients professionnels de niveau inférieur
- Travailler avec de plus grands clients sous supervision et/ou sur la base d’un projet spécifique

**Votre profil**:

- 2 à 4ans d’expérience dans des fonctions juridiques
- Titulaire d’un Master dans un domai
