You join the Econometrics team in the risk - market & counterparty risk (RISK-MCR) department of Natixis. This department is responsible for overseeing all risk indicators and P&L for Natixis' market activities.
Within RISK-MCR, the team is responsible for providing econometrics to all market risk measurement systems and tools (VaR, stressed VaR) and counterparty risk (CVA, EEPE, etc.).
On a daily basis, your job is to:
- Produce econometrics (standard deviations, correlations) on factors already in production or to support the development of certain businesses;
- Review and finalize historical market data series used to calibrate and calibrate risk factors used in existing or planned risk measures;
- Actively participate in other team tasks (RIM Backtesting 3+1, regulatory and internal projects, rotational production support);
- Respond to various recommendations from general inspection or model validation);
- Ensure communication with different levels of the company (the team is at the heart of exchanges with multiple partners).
As an econometric analyst, you manage the risk factors used in the calculation of risk metrics, follow the regulator’s recommendations on the models in place, Support the front office in new businesses and ensure proper operational implementation in partnership with IT teams. You intervene on risk factors and market data for all asset classes (rates, credit, cash, foreign exchange, stocks, commodities).

With a higher education, you have a successful experience in market finance (Corporate & Investment Bank or Risks).
You are familiar with:
- The basic principles of calculating a VaR;
- Statistical or economic calculations;
- Financial products;
- Ideally, the Python language.
You have an excellent relationship, a very good listening ability, you are:
- Curious and pragmatic
- Structured and organized to prioritize requests from multiple partners (Trading, Risk Management, Quants methodology);
- Process improvement sensitive (Python script automation)
- Proposal power.
You master English with a level C1 (writing in English model documentation for internal needs and for various audits, daily collaboration with a team based in Porto).
