In 2024, Paris will host Olympic & Paralympic Games, the first ‘spectator present’ summer Games since 2016. The Visa France Team alongside the Global Sponsorship and Experience Team is responsible for the management of Visa’s extensive Games Time Program and now requires an Intern to support the implementation of the project in Paris.
This Intern position is truly unique and will be a high visibility role that contributes actively to the delivery of Visa’s contractual obligations as the official technical payments partner of the Paris 2024 Olympic & Paralympic Games as well as support Visa’s vision to ensure its staff from around the world can get to experience the power of the Games firsthand.
**What we expect of you, day to day**
- Report directly to the Head of Visa’s Olympic & Paralympic Platform in Paris.
- Contribute to the development of the project management reporting activities for Executive Management and ensure they are delivered in a timely manner and meet high-quality standard for executive presentations.
- Manage the staff Paris 2024 Torch Relay program - key liaison for all staff runners & external agencies. Management of day-to-day staff queries.
- Manage the staff Paris 2024 Marathon & 10K program - key liaison for all staff runners & external agencies. Management of day-to-day staff queries.
- Provide additional ‘Games Time’ Visa Ambassador (Volunteer) program support to Paris 2024 Operations Team where needed - Cover ‘onsite’ for Visa Venue Managers or Non-Visa cardholder Sales assistants if deemed essential.
- Provide logístical support to EU Event Teams as client Business Meeting agendas are developed.
- Uphold a strict level of confidentiality.
**Qualifications**
- Customer service-focused with ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to cope with tight deadlines.
- Solid planning, organizational and written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work with extreme attention to detail.
- An understanding of Project Management would be preferred with a strong knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Discretion combined with poise and professionalism in all communications.
- Must be able to exercise good judgement regarding information which may be confidential.
- Ability to operate effectively and efficiently in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Some knowledge of the payments business and financial services is a plus but not essential.
- Fluent in French
