Description
The Deputy Broadcast Venue Manager (DBVM) assists the Broadcast Venue Manager (BVM) as needed at large venues or venues with a lengthy event schedule. Coordinates and facilitates the activities of the OBS team on site. Together with the BVM, serves as liaison with the Paris 2024 Organizing Committee venue management for broadcast-related problems or concerns. In the absence of the BVM, the DBVM will serve as the senior representative.
Duties
- Assist in overseeing the installation/removal and asset management of all OBS equipment;
- Participate and represent OBS at Paris 2024 Organizing Committee venue team meetings;
- Facilitate internal and external information flow
- Assist Rights Holding Broadcasters within the Olympic venues
- Coordinate scheduled and ad hoc tours;
- Coordinate production crew requirements within the venue;
- Coordinate day pass access and supplementals;
- Assist in the preparation of daily reports to the Broadcast Operation Centre (BOC);
- Provide problem and conflict resolution in a diplomatic manner;
- Assist in daily administrative duties such as time sheets, and petty cash reconciliations;
- Other duties and tasks as assigned.
Experience
- 2+ years production management experience or a combination of education and experience in media, broadcasting, sporting events, or event management;
- Ability to manage and organize several tasks within specific deadlines.
- Excellent command of English and French, verbal and written;
- Computer proficiency in MS Office;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Exceptional communication skills;
- Detail oriented;
- Ability to show initiative;
**Workplace & Environment**
- Fast paced work environment;
- Indoor and/or outdoor sports venues;
- Full time shift work including evening and weekends;
- Subject to national/international criminal background checks.
- These are 1-month long positions that commence either in July or August and end August or September 2024, based on the event schedule.
- Current residence in France required
