**PathoQuest is excited to announce that we are currently looking to appoint a Head of Bioinformatics within our Operations department.**

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and supported by a dedicated team, you will implement industrial development and/or pipeline and method optimization projects. You will evaluate and manage both the human and material resources required to carry out these projects in compliance with quality standards (such as GMP), health and safety rules, deadlines and costs. You will manage a team of bioinformaticians who will be responsible for the life-cycle management of pipelines, optimization, validation and customer analyses. You also be involved in the scaling, automation and transfer of bioinformatics pipelines and will define the strategy for maintaining the validated status of methods according to the Validation Master Plan while carrying out additional studies to maintain this status. You will also develop and implement the operational strategy for bioinformatics (design and implementation of the company's service products). You will participate in the technological and scientific evaluation of bioinformatics tools.

**Essential duties and responsabilities**:

- Lead scientific and technical monitoring in the field of bioinformatics, identify possible improvements, technological advances and initiate the partnerships necessary for their integration.
- Organize, plan and monitor the progress of the various stages of a project and its validation with a view to technology transfer (in relation with the R&D and pharmaceutical teams).
- Analyze and suggest measures to improve bioinformatics methods.
- Evaluate the allocation of means and resources (human, financial, deadlines, equipment, etc.) in accordance with the development strategy and in compliance with regulatory provisions.
- Proactively collect as well as respond to customer needs. Participate in continuous improvement by using customer feedback.
- Participate in the company's communication and commercial operations (conferences, meetings, negotiations).
- Draft documentation relating to the company's products.
- Create the documentation related to the industrial transfer to formalize the automation and standardization of the processes according to the regulations.

**Minimum qualifications**:
**Education and Experience**:

- You must have a PhD in Bioinformatics, ideally with a background in molecular biology. You must have experience in a GMP environment, especially within the manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals is appreciated.
- You have proven professional experience in the validation of analytical and computational methods (IEC 62304). Necessary knowledge, skills and abilities:

- Passionate about innovation and strongly motivated by a challenge.
- Strong attraction to teamwork.
- You have a PhD in Bioinformatics, ideally with a background in molecular biology.
- Experience in a GMP environment, especially within the manufacturing of biopharmaceuticals is appreciated.
- You have proven professional experience in the validation of analytical and computational methods (IEC 62304).
- You have proven experience as a team manager.
- Fluent English (B2 level or equivalent)
