POSITION DESCRIPTION

Working in the central Data Management Office of the Life Sciences business, reporting directly to the governance manager, the data project manager **will play a key role in the data transformation of our business units** (B2B) - helping the business leadership teams in **getting a better control, understanding & analysis of their data to help them take data-driven decisions.**

**This role is critical for data scalability & consistence of our businesses data models. The data project manager contributes to the definition of standards and rules for the use of data (all domains), evaluates data architecture against business needs / objectives, ensures technology watch and propose architecture evolutions.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate roll-out of data projects (harmonization, standards & referential) within Life Sciences organization.
- Contribute to the definition of standards and rules for the use of data.
- Evaluate and define data architecture needs & future projects for referential to enable optimization of data models for business objectives, in collaboration with the IT team.
- Collaborate & validate objectives / use cases covered in the data project, scope & strategy of a data project, in alignment with Business stakeholders
- Define the scope of project and translate functional use case in requirement for data storage & flow, with best data management practices. Define resources plan needed at Business, Data & IT level. Define the planning.
- Coordinate & pilot the project implementation with business project managers. Communicate consistently & regularly to all stakeholders; manage change & risk for project roll-out. Prepare & lead projects committees
- Coordinate the different teams involved on projects, with the help of business & IT counterparts roles: business stakeholders, data collaborators, Group IT teams.
- Participate in the elaboration of the Life Sciences Data roadmap (data harmonization; referential & future architecture of data; data quality needs; governance needs).
- Enforce data policies and standards.

**Key Indicators**:

- Understanding of both functional and IT considerations.
- Efficiency in developing pipelines & analysis in line with business rules & data quality defined by business stakeholders.
- Efficiency in providing recommendation & projects needed to help speeding the data alignment needed at LS Level
- Clear presentation skills for detailed analysis results
- Deadlines are clear & respected.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

You have **a higher education with a Master’s degree in IT or Data**.

You have at least **5 years of experience in data and project management** experience running projects in a **complex**, **multi-tasking and demanding **environment.

You have a **strong knowledge in data base** (SQL), **unstructured data**, **data principles and data quality best practices**. Knowledge and skills in **data visualization** tool (as PowerBI) and on ERP or CRM is appreciated.

You have great **communication** skills, are **customer oriented**, and able to understand both **functional** and **IT requirement** to translate in data objectives.

You are recognized for your **ability to adapt to shifting priorities**, demands and timelines through **analytical** and **problem-solving** skills and to effectively **prioritize** and execute tasks in a **high-pressure environment**.

A good working atmosphere is essential, you are **open-minded** and appreciate **teamwork**.

The context being **international**, fluency in **English** is essential.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

The position is based at Saint-Gobain's head office in **La Défense** - **full remote** is possible (in France).

Some trips abroad are expected.
