Group, Meetings, and Events Manager

The GM&E Manager is in charge of the Global Conference & Banquet Strategy with the aim of maximizing revenues. He/she reports to the Director of Business Development.
**Typical activities**:
- Performs duties within the framework of regulations and standards defined by General Management, and guidelines and procedures defined by the Director of Business Development.
- Ensures compliance with procedures and standards
- Has in-depth knowledge of the product and the competitive market
- Ensures external canvassing to increase sales
- Organizes and conducts Hotels Show Tours
- Takes a proactive approach to potential customers
- Builds strong relationships with customers to understand their needs
- Personalizes customer correspondence
- Guarantees customers the quality and reliability of their reservation
- Ensures proper organization of files and customer satisfaction
- Draws up business plans to identify shortcomings and propose proactive measures to optimize capacity and meet targets.
- Control pricing strategy and optimize C&E revenues in rooms, F&B and room rentals.
- Manages a calendar of events to maximize our yield
- Maintain a constant link between the team and the Director of Business Development
**Others**:
- Maintains good relations within his/her team and with all hotel departments.
- Ensures good communication within the department to circulate information
- Organizes communication meetings
- Train and coach new arrivals
- Ensures team members have the training they need to carry out their tasks properly
- Draw up schedules
- Supports, motivates, assists and encourages team members
- Regularly informs the team of results achieved and objectives set
- Creates ad hoc reports for analysis of revenue potential
- Ensures proper follow-up and commercial approach to projects
- Show guests around the hotel
- Assists and manages seminar customer complaints
- Ensures invoicing compliance
- Draw up annual budgets and banquet rates in collaboration with the Business Development Manager
- Monitors monthly results
- Assumes the duties of the department manager in his/her absence

- Fluent in English
