THE ROLE
You will be responsible for assisting the shipping line operational teams (Operations Managers and Ship Managers) in managing ship voyages and calls, in coordination with our shared services centres (SSC).
You will ensure that our rights are properly respected on our partners' ships.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Acting as a genuine interface between the Shipping Lines operational teams and our SSCs, you will ensure performance control by monitoring the appropriate indicators.
You will carry out consistency checks, analyse operational data and alert Operations Managers to any anomalies.
As the main point of contact for our SSC operational teams, you will provide guidance and support in special situations that are not covered by our internal processes.
You will be a driving force behind proposals to improve our SSC operating processes.
You will assist the Operations Managers in updating and distributing schedules; updating Proforma and Long Term Schedules; updating contact lists; extracting reports, etc., enabling them to monitor and manage operational activity within the deadlines set.
You will be responsible for coordinating the transmission and circulation of information to our agents and partners, particularly with regard to vessel timetables, change of destination (COD), outsize goods (OOG) and specialised transport, and you will be able to suggest any necessary adjustments.
PROFILE AND QUALIFICATIONS
With a degree, preferably in International Trade, Transport or Logistics, you have at least 3 years' experience in the maritime sector.
You are fluent in English, written and spoken..
You have a good command of IT and office automation tools.
You are rigorous, know how to manage priorities and unforeseen events, and have a flair for teamwork.
Your interpersonal skills, sense of diplomacy, ability to analyse and summarise, curiosity and responsiveness will enable you to successfully carry out the duties of this position.
This position is a 6 months fixed-term contract.
