Location: Berre l'Etang Cedex, Bouches-du-Rhône, FR, 13131- Req ID: 82768- Facility: Berre Cpb-514- Department: Berre Logistics PP/PE- Division: Olefins and Polyolefins and Global ProcuAs part of our activities, we are looking for a **Logistics Operations Assistant Manager** **(F/M)** for our site to Berre L'Etang.
**Basic Function**:
The purpose of this job is to safely and effectively manage the day to day on site logistics operational activities of the Berre Polypropylene et polyethylene manufacturing plants, associated off-site third party distribution platforms operations. To manage, maintain and implement Corporate Safety, Operational Excellence and Supply Chain operating guidelines in area of the Berre logistics manager responsibilities.
**Roles & Responsibilities**:
- Manage operationally and cost effectively within agreed targets, ( KPI’s and budget limits ), the day to day logistics and supply chain activities of Berre PP and LDPE plants and associated distribution platforms.
- Optimal utilization of on site and third party storage facilities, bulk silos and warehousing, particularly with regard to ”overspill” operations.
- Optimization of work practices and transaction processes for Berre and associated operations ensuring proper traceability and auditability of raw materials and finished products in accordance with ISO- IATF and Basell Europe quality procedures.
- Effective contribution to site manufacturing efficiencies through efficient and timely production order processing and plant scheduling.
- Effective contribution to customer service through efficient sales order execution, timely materials availability and delivery performance in accordance with sales / customer requirements.
- Maintenance of good, functional working relationships with site operations personnel, European CSG, central planning and asset management groups.
- Performance review / cost monitoring of third party Logistics service providers and associated operations in collaboration with the site logistics manager
- Implementation and timely maintenance of agreed monthly reporting format / processes for logistics and supply chain performance measurables, ( cost and operational )
- Maintenance of a clean and safe working environment in all logistics activity areas in accordance with Basell standards and guidelines.
- Implementation of European best practices in logistics operations together with logistics manager and SC regional manager
**Min. Qualifications**:
**Education and experience**:
- Degree in business studies or similar business related qualification and / or minimum 4 years work experience in a supervisory management logistics and or site operations role, preferably within chemical / polyolefins manufacturing.
- Proven team worker and leader.
- Proven self-starter, completer, finisher.
**Languages**:
- Local Country Language required
- High level in English required
