**About this opportunity**:
We are now looking for a **Control and Compliance Director EMEA**, preferably based at Wantage (UK) or at Saint-Ouen (close to Paris). The role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer Bevcan EMEA.

**Your mission in Crown**
- Own the Control & Compliance process
- Develop and maintain the standard controls. This includes risk assessment design of controls, controls implementation, and remediation; includes conducting and documenting process walkthroughs and related narratives, with a focus on internal controls and ownership of Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
- Maintain an efficient internal control environment
- including monitoring of key control executions, management control remediation plans and recommendations
- Manage and co-ordinate relationships with Auditors
- Be the primary point of contact with External Auditors in all aspect of the annual audit cycle
- Lead and coordinate the internal compliance testing program in coordination with Internal Audit and the business Finance function
- Foster a control & compliance culture
- Promote an Internal control culture where all Local Process Managers fully own the risks and controls in their area, including training
- Partner with management to identify risks and monitor implementations
- Target an organisation audit-ready at all times across all functions
- Systems & Procedures
- Serve as a primary resource to coordinate System developments and achieve proactive control and compliance governance
- Partner with the IT organization on all aspects of the IT General Controls design and testing
- Review and evaluate financial reporting policies and procedures and recommend effective improvements

**About you**:
You have a Master degree or a MBA in Finance and Controlling and you are fully qualified CIMA/ACCA/ACMA or equivalent, with more than 8 years of professional experience in the financial environment with a specialization in Audit and Control. The experience should have been preferably gained in one of the big 4 audit firms. Exposure to US listed companies and USGAAP will be considered a plus. You possess excellent industry and business know-how and understanding, with proven ability to build effective relationships with internal and external auditors, combined with robust communication and influencing skills at all levels of the organisation.
You demonstrate a high degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas and proven experience in risk assessment analysis and risk mitigation plan, having an excellent judgment for weighing inputs and evaluating potential courses of action, with excellent organizational/planning skills and attention to detail. A strategic thinker, you have the ability to consider the long-term effects of short-term actions,. You have an international cultural awareness, able to lead, motivate and develop team expertise across the Division. IT literate, you have a strong knowledge of US GAAP as well as SOX controls.
