About the Role:
The Finance Coordinator plays a crucial role in supporting Arena's financial operations in France. This position involves assisting the Finance Director in overseeing accounting functions, financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow, and compliance. The Finance Coordinator contributes to ensuring financial accuracy and compliance while providing financial analysis and recommendations to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:

- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company policies.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

- Collaborate in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, working closely with department heads to gather financial information.
- Monitor budget performance and provide variance analysis reports.

Accounting Operations:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions and records.

Financial Analysis:

- Analyse financial data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for cost optimization or revenue enhancement.
- Prepare financial reports for management, offering insights and recommendations.

Compliance and Auditing:

- Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.

Team Leadership:

- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, providing guidance and support.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing finance team.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field
- 5-8 years or more demonstrated experience in financial management, accounting, or auditing, with a focus on project-related finance.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as ERP systems and advanced Excel.
- A start-up mindset with adaptability and a willingness to work in a dynamic environment.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Excellent command of French and English languages.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
