**This job of Platform cost manager is for our Lighr Rail PF team**

**Location**: It will be first located in France ( Headquarters in St.Ouen) for 6 months approx. then in our offices in Canada ( St;Bruno), both on local contracts.

**Purpose of the job**:
In charge for his Platform of:

- Costing analysis on pre-tenders, tenders
- Costing support to R&D programs (monitoring of R&D cost and Product target cost)
- Support to Regions during project phase (using Reference Libraries) on costing activities
- Deploying costing rules, database and governance for Platform activities

**Key accountabilities**:

- Tender and Project costing
- Support to pre-tenders : costing simulations and / or pre-costing for decision making purpose, scenario in quick costing enabling the Bid Team to select the more cost efficient offer for the Customer
- Support to Platform and Bid team with cost analysis, challenge with costing reviews, benchmark and allocation of cost targets
- Update cost database with latest tenders costing, to strengthen process of target costing and allocation on next tenders
- Cost library/database
- Ensure consistency on cost library creation and updates (cost structure, nature of cost, Make or Buy strategy.)
- Ensure Platform‘s cost library (templates, and costing database) is available, updated into the repository and compliant with the Product Strategy of the Platform
- Contribute to the return on experience, continuous improvement and the share of best practices
- R&D / Sustaining
- Support to R&D and sustaining programs with analysis and consolidation when needed : business cases, preparation of Product Approval Boards for R&D, competitiveness action plan, task force, assessment, Design to cost activities
- **Performance measurements**:

- Quality and timeliness of gap analysis
- Completion and accuracy of cost library/database
- **Reports directly to**:Competitiveness Director
- **Network & Links**:

- Platform Core Team : Product teams, Program managers, Competitiveness managers, Reference Library managers
- Other Platforms : Components, Service, Systems and Trains
- Sites Teams: Bid and Projects teams, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing
- Central Métiers: Engineering (incl Product cost managers, DtC managers), Sourcing, R&D Innovation, Tender & Project Performance (Costing Métier), Product cost managers, DtC managers
- **Educational Requirements** :Engineering degree and/or Business School
- **Experience **:Minimum 5 years of experience in industry, ideally Railway
- **Competencies & Skills**:

- Technical:

- Project Management and / or Industry background
- Ability to recognize product and associated costs, and understand operational flows (engineering, manufacturing, industrial, etc)
- Understanding of basic enterprise internal processes: Tenders, Projects, Engineering, Industrial, Sourcing, Quality and their interfaces
- Sufficient awareness of financial rules and contractual aspects (bonds & guarantees,)
- Good communication skill (presentations, synthesis, relationship with contributors...)
- Comfortable in an international and a multi-cultural environment
- Fluent in English: spoken and written
- Behavioral:
