**Airbus Helicopters **is looking for a **Aerothermal Junior Engineer **(f/m) **to join our Aeromechanics & Performance based in **Marignane, France.**

You will be part of approximately 60 engineers in charge of the Aerodynamics, Aerothermal, Bonding, Flight Mechanics, Performances and flight loops activities. As part of the Aerothermal group, you will be involved in all scientific and operational activities, including the preparation of test requests, the analyses, the simulations based on internal or commercial tools, the preparation of technical and certification documents, as well as the management of all necessary coordination actions aiming at guaranteeing the timely and quality delivery of the milestones for the various commercial and/or R&T programs for which you will be responsible.

**Your challenges**:

- Identification of the activities required to de-risk the design of helicopters from an Aerothermal point of view
- Thermal analysis of the different areas of the helicopter and its main systems
- Creation and/or supervision of the development of advanced thermal models taking into account the main phenomena of heat transfer (convection, conduction, radiation) and aerodynamics/icing
- Definition of the minimum tests required to de-risk and evaluate the integration of the systems and to carry out the mapping of the zones, preparation of these tests in collaboration with the test teams and the other responsible for the systems, and analysis / extrapolation of the measures
- Responsibility for planning and deliverables
- Implementation of transversal activities with other fields of engineering to ensure a robust multidisciplinary process
- Definition of certification plans and preparation of required documents
- Contribution to the development of methods and tools to secure the development of helicopters in a reduced time frame
- Development of multidisciplinary skills in the field of aerothermal with a particular focus on aerodynamics and icing

**Your profile**:

- High school or university diploma (Bac+5/Bachelor - Univ or equivalent, doctorate) in aerothermal or in a related disciplines
- Position open to young graduates or those with little experience
- You have skills in heat transfer, aerothermal and thermo-structure
- Skills in thermal modeling (NX-Thermal, Amesim and/or FLUENT) and/or in experimental data analysis would be appreciated
- Complementary skills in aerodynamics and icing would be an asset
- Good knowledge of MS office tools and gsuite tools
- Autonomous and ready to take leadership, you have communication skills that facilitate teamwork with the various stakeholders (design office teams, flight tests, external customers), and you feel strongly empowered
- Ability to work on military programs
- Language skills:

- English level: intermediate level minimum
- French would be appreciated
