**Job Brief**:

- We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join a software development multinational with offices in Paris.
- You will be responsible for leading a team of software engineers in designing, developing, and delivering high quality software. Your strong technical background, leadership skills, and passion for software engineering will be instrumental in driving the team's performance and achieving business objectives.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of engineers, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise.
- Define and prioritise project goals and deliverables in collaboration with product managers and stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous learning, and innovation within the engineering team.
- Coordinate and allocate resources effectively to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Provide technical guidance and support to engineers, ensuring adherence to best practices, coding standards, and quality guidelines.
- Drive the design, development, and maintenance of scalable, robust, and high-performance software solutions.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and identify opportunities for professional growth and development for team members
- Facilitate communication and collaboration within the team and across departments to ensure alignment and smooth project execution.
- Ensure the team follows agile software development methodologies, promoting transparency, accountability, and effective teamwork.
- Identify and mitigate risks and challenges that may impact project timelines or quality.
- Stay updated with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices, and drive their adoption within the team.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute the engineering department's strategy and goals.
- Contribute to the recruitment and onboarding process of new engineers, ensuring a diverse and talented team.
- Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting collaboration, open communication, and a strong sense of team spirit.

**Requirements and skills**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a leadership role as an Engineering Manager, Technical Manager, or Team Lead.
- Strong technical background with expertise in software development using modern technologies and frameworks.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Experience with agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven ability to drive results, meet project deadlines, and manage competing priorities.
- Strategic mindset, with the ability to align engineering efforts with business objectives.
- Fluency in English both written and spoken.
