Lead Liaison Supplier Quality Engineer

**Job Description Summary**: The Lead Liaison Supplier Quality Engineer - Renewables - Offshore Wind will work closely with Offshore Wind Global Supply Chain, assigned Plant organization, Engineering, Product Service Engineering, Manufacturing, Project Management and Installation team, and the Global Supplier Quality team on all activities required to effectively support supplier quality requirements for assigned wind turbine components and suppliers. Focus will be to support continuous operation, customer satisfaction and takt time, resolving timely escaping defects and overall lead escaping reduction programs on components shipped to assigned Plant. By working with SQEs, GE assigned Plant or modularization supplier, suppliers and key stakeholders, the LSQE will ensure proper root-cause analysis and corrective actions at suppliers and site, rapid containment break point to maintain adequate service level to the manufacturing Plant, being appointed as local focal point from Supplier Quality activities in the Plant and acting externally if assigned to specific missions such as qualifications or audits, and internally as auditor to oversee supplier performance and customer findings resolution.
L'ingénieur principal de la qualité des fournisseurs de liaison - Énergies renouvelables - Éolien offshore travaillera en étroite collaboration avec la chaîne d'approvisionnement mondiale de l'éolien offshore, l'organisation de l'usine, l'équipe d'ingénierie, d'ingénierie des services de produits, de fabrication, de gestion de projet et d'installation et l'équipe de qualité des fournisseurs mondiaux. sur toutes les activités nécessaires pour soutenir efficacement les exigences de qualité des fournisseurs pour les composants et les fournisseurs d'éoliennes assignés. L'accent sera mis sur le soutien du fonctionnement continu, la satisfaction du client et le temps de takt, la résolution des défauts qui s'échappent en temps opportun et les programmes globaux de réduction des fuites de plomb sur les composants expédiés à l'usine assignée. En travaillant avec les SQE, l'usine assignée à GE ou le fournisseur de modularisation, les fournisseurs et les principales parties prenantes, le LSQE assurera une analyse appropriée des causes profondes et des actions correctives chez les fournisseurs et le site, un point de rupture de confinement rapide pour maintenir un niveau de service adéquat à l'usine de fabrication, étant nommé en tant que point focal local des activités de qualité des fournisseurs dans l'usine et agissant en externe s'il est affecté à des missions spécifiques telles que des qualifications ou des audits, et en interne en tant qu'auditeur pour superviser les performances des fournisseurs et la résolution des constatations des clients.
**Essential Responsibilities**:
As the Lead Liaison Supplier Quality Engineer - Offshore Wind, you will:
- Develop and lead Qualification plans, process / product verification efforts, quality system audits and supplier surveillance program on assigned components if any.
- Lead process improvement efforts using GE Renewable Energy Quality systems, tools and procedures to drive process quality improvements and leverage statistical tools for evaluation of process capability on critical-to-quality (CTQ) part / component characteristics
- Participate in supplier design / engineering review and approval process and internal NPI (New Product Introduction) process
- Address Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction based on customer, assembly shop and site feedback and incorporate key customer critical-to-quality parameters in supplier processes
- Ensure quality consistency and reduce variation in processes through First Piece Qualification, pilot lot approvals (when required) and with ongoing serial production and Production Part Approval.
- Coordinate initiation and resolution of Supplier Deviation Requests (SDR’s), material substitutions and quality control reviews on non-conformances at supplier facility and/or wind farm sites
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA), FMEA (Failure Mode & Effect Analysis) for process improvement, and preventive / corrective action as required
- Audit to ensure compliance
- Support read-across global activities and escalation process
- Actively work on problem solving in the plant acting as primary line for issue resolution from suppliers
- Act as a Liaison among SQEs, suppliers and key stakeholders to drive effective and timely issue resolution and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Report out supplier performance KPIs, support Non-Conformance Management reviews, supplier performance turnaround plans and implement firewalls as needed to ensure adequate service level at assigned site.
