The R&D Project Manager drive and manages, with full responsibility, the new products and service-related Research and Development (R&D) projects within Compression Business. This includes managing the scope, budget, and schedule, ensuring new developments are launched on-time and on-budget in the marketplace, maintaining Siemens energy’s competitive position in the marketplace. The role is based in Brazil, but collaborates closely and actively with technical teams, portfolio managers, supply chain, sales and marketing, engineering, and other stakeholders, and senior management globally.

**How You’ll Make an Impact**
- You will engage stakeholders to identify project scope and communicate requirements to project teams. You will initiates the project in agreement with the Product & Portfolio Managers concerning the project targets and overall boundaries
- You will collaborate with Technical Leads and Resource Owners to create project plans in Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and manage the project throughout the Product Development Process (PDP) within the defined requirements. You are fully accountable for the delivery of the defined scope.
- You execute the project within the approved boundaries (e.g. User Requirements Specification, functionality, product target costs, project cost, time, quality, customer satisfaction) and lead the project execution and coordinate multiple functions including engineering, business controlling, quality, supply chain, manufacturing and other interfaces as required.
- You ensure business success and satisfaction of the customer ensuring professional stakeholder management and identify Project KPI’s, determines and manages an effective communication plan to report project status and forecast, while acting as the single point of contact for stakeholder queries
- You represent the project in all review meetings, negotiate resource requirements & project priority and act as an Entrepreneur throughout project execution by being proactive in identifying opportunities or hurdles, and ensure timely decisions on open issues, escalating if necessary.
- You balance the project scope through Change Request Management and manage risk by devising suitable strategies for risk mitigation based on knowledge of business risk appetites.
- You coach, lead, and motivate the team, even when faced with unexpected challenges, and identify, recognize, and congratulate strong performances by the team, while taking action upon seeing areas for improvement.

**What you Bring**
- Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering
- 8+ years of Project Management experience or 8+ years of a combination of Project Management and relevant Technical Lead or equivalent work required; those with more experience may be considered for a more senior level. Strong leadership skills, self motivated drive, and passion for ownership culture
- Experience in excellence areas of Project Management incl. Lean and Agile methods; Experience developing, monitoring, and control project plans in an engineering environment.
- Advanced knowledge of turbomachinery products, technology, and product development practices; RDPM certification, PMP certification, or recognised equivalent preference.
- Fluent in English.

The position is in the Product Development Office, within Compression Product Management, which is responsible for delivering all Product & Service Development projects within compression Business globally.
