Network Engineer and Support

- As a Network Engineer and Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

- Providing technical services and support for WAN and LAN connectivity, routers, firewalls, and network security
- Troubleshooting and resolving network issues effectively
- Remotely monitoring and managing system alerts and notifications
- Performing evaluations, maintenance, installations, and training to ensure optimal system performance and user satisfaction
- Assisting with projects assigned by management and ensuring timely and accurate implementation
- Engineering network security and ensuring compliance with security policies in coordination with the IT department
- Participating in major network installations and upgrades
- Collaborating with vendors to resolve system outages or performance issues
- Working constructively with users on hardware and software installation, system upgrades, and new system implementations
- Partnering and cooperating cross-functionally to support organizational effectiveness programs and initiatives in alignment with company strategies
- Analyzing, resolving, and documenting level 2 support issues

Profil recherché:
Job requirement
- Master's degree in IT or a related field
- Fluency in French and English is required; German is a plus
- 5+ years of direct IT-related experience (preferred), with 5 years specifically in hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting (preferred)
- Proven track record of positive client relationships and adhering to technology standards
- Relevant technical certifications from Cisco, Fortigate, and SonicWall (preferred)
- IT certifications such as ITIL, Network+, Security+ (preferred)
- Experience with Dell, Cisco, Synology networking equipment (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to research unique problem requests and develop solutions that meet client and system requirements (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and general computer functions
- Broad understanding of Windows Server, operating systems, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, IDS/IPS, IP Telephony/VoIP, firewalls, and proxy servers to support network issue resolution
- Strong analytical thinking, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to identify opportunities for increased efficiency, cost reduction, and improved outcomes
- Capability to take ownership of issues and seek resolution
- Willingness to challenge conventional solutions and think creatively to resolve issues
- Attention to detail and ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously
