Founded in 2014 by Jerome Jacques Marie Mage, Jacques Marie Mage is a Los Angeles-based producer of limited-edition designer goods specializing in the micro-production of luxury eyewear for a clientele of discerning tastes.
With each new collection, JMM embraces a unique palette of precious materials, rich colors, and striking geometric forms, which cleverly reference and beautifully reconfigure the striking individuals, artistic movements, and world events of previous centuries. All JMM eyewear is ethically sourced and produced with the utmost respect for industry partners' environment and wellbeing.
**Role Overview**:
The Retail Director for Europe, reporting to the VP of Sales, is responsible for crafting and executing retail strategies that align with Jacques Marie Mage's business objectives across the European retail markets. This role encompasses overseeing daily store operations, managing financial performance, leading high-performing teams, and optimizing sales through strategic initiatives. Additionally, the director will conduct market analysis, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring compliance with regulations and upholding the company's ethical standards.

**Retail Management**:
- Execute with the best standards the retail strategy defined by the management team. This will include:
Store Operations Management:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of retail stores, ensuring seamless customer experiences, efficient inventory management, and compliance with company standards.
Financial Management:
- Develop and manage budgets for retail operations, ensuring financial targets are met while maintaining a strong focus on cost control. Monitor key financial metrics and implement strategies to optimize profitability.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and inspire a high-performing team, providing guidance, coaching, and support to store managers and staff across the region.
Sales Performance Optimization:
- Drive sales growth through strategic initiatives, training, clienteling, and effective merchandising and Visual merchandising, while maintaining a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.
Market Analysis:
- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences in the European markets. Use insights to make informed decisions and adjust strategies accordingly.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, design, and supply chain, to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to business operations.
Brand Representation:
- Serve as the brand ambassador for Jacques Marie Mage in the region, fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and influencers.
Compliance:
- Ensure all retail operations adhere to relevant regulations and company policies, maintaining high ethical standards.
- Key Requirements:_- Proven experience in a retail management role, preferably in the luxury fashion or eyewear industry.- Strong leadership skills with a track record of building and managing successful teams.- Excellent strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.- In-depth knowledge of retail operations and market dynamics in Europe.- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
