Overview Job Title: Commercial Operator - LNG/Gas ShippingLocation: Paris, France Who are we recruiting for?Our client is a dynamic and rapidly growing French-based global shipowner dedicated to delivering safe, sustainable, and innovative shipping solutions that power the global economy. With a growing fleet of LNG and Methanol fuelled MR Tankers, this is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company at the forefront of clean energy shipping. What will you be doing? Assisting the Head of Operations in managing the commercial operations of the gas and tanker fleet. Coordinating voyage instructions, vessel movements, bunkering schedules, and voyage completion with Masters, charterers, brokers, and other key stakeholders. Managing all load port and discharge port documentation, liaising closely with port authorities and agents. Reviewing charter party terms to protect the company's interests and ensure smooth operational execution. Planning vessel refuelling activities, monitoring cargo and ballast plans, and ensuring accurate reporting of vessel positions. Supporting the commercial and technical teams with data, reports, and operational insights for decision-making. Assisting with claims handling, demurrage calculations, and operational cost analysis where required. Monitor fleet performance versus charter party warranties related to speed and consumption Are you the ideal candidate? Chief Officer CoC with seagoing experience on LNG/ LPG experience with MR tanker operations will be an added advantage Shore-based experience in commercial vessel operations is beneficial but not essential, preferably LNG shipping. Chief Officer/Master Mariner coming ashore will be considered with suitable cargo operations experience Strong knowledge of voyage operations, charter party clauses, and cargo documentation. Experience with cargo operations, port logistics, and bunker planning. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across multiple teams.
