Product and Process Development Leader (f/m) Join our innovative team, BioMonitoring Innovation & Product Life Cycle Management (IPLCM), as a R&D Product and Process Development Leader at Merck Life Science, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of Quality Control solutions for the Pharmaceutical and Food & Beverage industries. Responsibilities Collaborate closely with Marketing and Project Management to design, develop, and validate comprehensive solutions and technological components in a dynamic, cross‑functional environment. Manage all project execution activities for our global customers for Environmental Monitoring and Sterility Testing product lines, ensuring efficient project execution and resource alignment. Build strong partnerships with customers, serving as their primary contact and ensuring their needs are met. Lead the implementation of automated processes and smart manufacturing technologies (Industry 4.0) to achieve cost efficiency while maintaining compliance and quality. The role also includes benchmarking manufacturing processes against industry standards, driving sustainability improvements, and managing Intellectual Property related to technical solutions. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Science or Engineering, specializing in manufacturing processes or automated systems engineering. Over 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in an R&D organization, ideally leading automation projects. More than 7 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus on process engineering. Strong technical skills in industrial processes, manufacturing, packaging and product & process cost management. Proven ability to manage subcontractors and multiple solution providers or external partners effectively. Demonstrated capacity to lead complex projects with excellent project management and organizational skills. Solid leadership skills with a results‑oriented mindset and a passion for innovation. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, thriving in cross‑functional and international teams. Fluent in English is required; proficiency in French is an asset. Willingness to travel regularly to sites or partners, primarily in France and Western Europe. Location & Travel This position is based in Molsheim (close to Strasbourg, France), with a requirement for occasional travel within Western Europe (3 to 4 times by quarter).
