With a team of 340+ Almakers and a €115M Series C funding round, Alma is rapidly scaling across Europe — and this is just the beginning...About The JobAs a Senior Front-End Software Engineer, your key responsibilities are:Develop components for our app that enable payments for tens of thousands of merchants and millions of consumers.Write maintainable code that meets the security and performance standards expected of a regulated company processing billions of euros.Deliver reliable code by writing comprehensive tests, from unit to end-to-end, to guarantee robustness and maintainability.Collaborate closely with Product and Design to challenge and refine solutions, ensuring the right balance between usability, technical feasibility, and delivery constraints.Investigate and resolve run issues, delivering sustainable fixes to maintain a seamless user experience.Our technical stack includes:Frontend: React, Typescript, Redux, Jest, React Testing Library.Backend: Python, Docker, React, GCP, Kubernetes, Postgres, Redis, PubSub, Datadog.What makes you the perfect fit for the role?Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience in frontend development, preferably with React/Typescript.Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field.Passion writing properly tested code following clean code principles.Experience working on payment or finance solutions is a plus.Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively both within a cross‑functional team and between teams.Ability to influence how businesses and products are developed.Fluent in French and good level of English (at least B2 Independent User).About The Recruitment ProcessInterview with Talent Acquisition (30 min)Interview with Engineering Manager (60 min)Take-home Coding test, followed by a remote feedback session (60 min)Team Fit interview (60 min)More information on the hiring process can be found in our Interview Guide.👉 At Alma, we believe that diversity drives innovation and strengthens our community and are committed to creating a workplace where everyone feels respected, valued, and empowered to contribute.
